Check out the backlinks in Google Search Console

You will get all the data related to the organic search traffic of the site on the Google Search Console and their overall performance. This method is free to use and you need to sign up for an account and verify your ownership on the site. Once you have done with the sign-in process, then move further and tap on the option “links” on the sidebar.

The count shown below the “External Links” indicates the total number of different backlinks to the site. Below are some reports.

ü  Top linked pages: The web page on the site that is most linked.

ü  Top linking sites: The website that is having a large number of backlinks.

ü  Top Linking text: While linking to the website the anchors that are used several times.

If you are a beginner to search console, then begin with Top Linked Pages report. Then, tap on any URL to see the sites as linking to the particular page. Further, click o the site and get to know which backlinks are attached to that definite web page.

If you want to check the backlinks that you are not accessible, then you can use the free tool for backlinks checker which is Ahrefs’ free backlink checker. The process is quite simple as you can just fill the website domain or URL and tap on “Check backlinks”. The total count of backlinks can be seen through this tool and referring domains (links belong to other sites) and add a hundred top backlinks.

For every single backlink, you can see some details, which include:

ü  Referring Page: Page that is lining to the targeted page.

ü  Domain Rating (DR): about the strength of the site that is linking.

ü  URL Rating (UR): About the strength of the web page that is linking.

ü  Traffic: Organic search traffic on the site with which the link is established (monthly basis).

ü  Anchor and backlink: Include anchor as well as surrounding link text.
