UGC NET 2018 to be conducted at over 250 cities, Check exam centres

UGC NET December 2018 application process is currently underway. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released application forms for UGC NET on its official website. All candidates interested in applying for the exam can fill UGC NET application form latest by September 30, 2018. However, before applying for the exam candidates must ensure that they fulfill UGC NET 2018 eligibility criteria. All candidates who possess a master’s degree with at least 55% (50% for reserved category candidates) marks fulfill eligibility criteria for UGC NET.

In July 2018, UGC NET was conducted at about 94 cities across India. However, with the launch of NTA this year, UGC NET December exam is scheduled to be conducted at a much larger scale than ever before. The teaching eligibility test is scheduled to be conducted at over 250 cities across India. Check all the states and Union Territories (UTs) in which UGC NET is scheduled to be conducted below:

Candidates must note that at the time of filling UGC NET application form they need to choose minimum four and maximum five cities in order of preference in which they wish to take UGC NET December 2018 exam. Although efforts will be made to allot candidates exam city of their preference, due to administrative reasons, a different city may also be allotted in the nearby area, informs the official website.

The complete address of the allotted exam centre will be mentioned on the admit card of candidates. Along with the address, UGC NET 2018 admit card will also contain details such as date and shift timings of both the papers (paper-I and II) of the exam. It may be noted that UGC NET 2018 is scheduled to be conducted from December 9 – 23 in two shifts per day (as mentioned in the table below). The official website states, “No candidate will be allowed to appear at the examination center, on Date and Timings other than that allotted to them in their admit card.”

UGC NET 2018 exam will consist of two papers that candidates need to complete in a total duration of three hours. However, it may be noted that there will be a gap of half an hour between both the papers.

All candidates are advised to report at the allotted exam centre at least two hours before the commencement of the exam. As per the official website, candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre after 8:30 AM in first shift and 1:00 PM in second shift.
