Documentary

Documentary photography usually refers to a popular form of photography used to history significant and historical events.

Fashion

Fashion photography is a variety of photography devoted to displaying clothing and other fashion items. Fashion photography is most often conducted for advertisements or fashion magazines such as Trend, Vanity Fair, or Elle.

Vernacular

Vernacular photography refers to the creation of photographs, usually by amateur or new photographers both professional and inexpert, who take everyday life and common things as subjects.

Street

Street photography is a non-formalised type of photography that features subjects in candid situations within community places such as streets, parks, beaches, malls, political conventions and other associated settings.

Stock

Stock photography is the resource of photographs licensed for specific uses. It is used to fulfil the needs of creative assignments instead of hiring a photographer, often for an inferior cost.

Still life

Still life photography is the representation of inanimate subject matter, most typically a small grouping of objects.

Snapshot

A snapshot is popularly defined as a photograph that is “shot” spontaneously and quickly, most often without artistic or journalistic intent.

Portrait

Portrait photography or portraiture is photography of a person or group of people that displays the expression, personality, and attitude of the subject.

Nature

Nature photography refers to a wide range of photography taken outdoors and devoted to displaying natural elements such as landscapes, wildlife, plants, and close-ups of natural scenes and textures.

Monochrome

Monochrome photography is photography where the image produced has a single type, rather than recording the colours of the object that was photographed

Fine-art

Fine art photography is photography created in accordance with the vision of the artist as photographer. Fine art photography stands in contrast to photojournalism, which provides a visual account for news events, and commercial photography, the primary focus of which is to advertise products or services.
