    The 1974 advertising of the Caprice Classic is far more different from adverts today! Check out this line "If Caprice Classic strikes you as luxurious, its because we planned it that way". Long Bodys, Heavy Steel, and Floating on the open road is what made these cars so popular in the 70's. Those times are coming back well at least for us they are, we found this out when we planned an 1085 mile road trip in one of these Convertible Caprices. Grab your Camcorder boys cause this video is going to be sick.

Along the way from Montana there where surprisingly not to many hiccups. Classic Cars are very simple to fix no computers and lots of rooms.Options included the famous Comfortron Air Conditioning system or the Four Season Air Conditioning System, six way power seats, power windos, power door lock system, new enlarged bumper guards, dome lighting, fender skirts, remote control mirror, radios and tape players, vinyl roof covers, electric clock, cruise master speed control soft ray tinted glass, simulated wire wheels, heated air rear window defroster, heavy duty battery, heavy duty radiator, superlift rear shocks, comfort tilt steering wheel. 



History about the 1974 Chevrolet Caprice: For the 1973 model year, 941,104 full-size Chevrolets were built.which of the total only 7339 were Caprice Convertibles. This was the first year for the safety seatbelt which wouldnt allow you to start the caprice without buckling up brother!(1974) the numbers seem to decline up until there was a raise in demand for the final year of the Caprice Convertible in 1975. Interior colors for the 1974 where Black, Blue, Green, Red or Taupe. Also the 50/50 seat was a great option as everyone sitting in this car could go there separate ways. The 1974 Impala had a turbo fire 350-2 barrel v8 engine with variable-ratio power steering and a turbo hydra-matic transmission and front power disc brakes.
