The stories begin in 1800s Pittsburgh but soon transport the reader to Montana, where the three O’Connor sisters venture in the name of love. The first book covers the story of Tessa O’Connor, whose privileged socialite life bores her.

Then she chances upon a mail order bride company requiring women of good breeding to travel to Montana. Seizing the opportunity, she packs her bags and heads into the unknown with the mission of finding her dream man.

However, upon arriving, she soon discovers that the rugged rancher who welcomes her is not the same man she was expecting.

Meanwhile, the second book in the series introduces us to her sister, Madelyn O’Connor. She is accustomed to getting her own way and being treated like royalty.

Then one of her suitors beats her, and this traumatizes her so much that she seeks a fresh start in the Wild West. She soon follows her sister and before long meets a handsome man of her own.

In the third book of the series, Claire O’Connor is looking for a fresh start. She feels as though she doesn’t fit in to her current surroundings, so sets off for Montana to explore new cultural horizons.
