Mammoth Cave National Park

Mammoth Cave National Park is one of the longest cave systems in the world located in central Kentucky. This national park was established on July 1, 1941, and was designated as a Heritage Site on October 27, 1981, and on September 26, 1990, as an International Biosphere Reserve. Mammoth Cave is spread over 52, 830 hectares along with the Edmonson County extending into Hard and the Barren counties. With surveyed passageways, Mammoth Cave is one of the longest known cave systems in the world. The cave has developed a thick Mississippian aged limestone structure with layers of sandstone that makes it remarkably stable. It houses more than 400 miles of passageways and is home to some bat species like the Indiana bat, gray bat, little brown bat, big brown bat, and the eastern pipistrelle bat.

Glacier Bay National Park

Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve are situated in Southeast Alaska, west of Juneau. This national park was created on December 2, 1980, under the Antiques Act on February 25, 1925.  The preserve encompasses 58, 406 acres of land protecting some parts of the Alsek River. Glacier Bay in 1979 was listed as a binational UNESCO World Heritage Site and in 1986 as a Biosphere Reserve. The western region of the park houses some of the oldest rock sequences with the youngest ones from the Middle Devonian Black Cap limestone period.  Today Glacier bay is one of the best places to enjoy endless outdoor activities and it is also one of the best places to spot animal-like band brown bears, black-tailed deer, hawks, Pacific white-sided dolphins, humpback whale, minke whale, harbor seal, and many more.
