Top On-Page SEO Elements

by Hrushikesh Pathare Digital Marketing Expert

In my previous articles, I discussed what seo is, why seo is important, what is on-page seo, what are meta tags and step by step seo process from scratch. In this article, we will go through the other important on-page seo elements. It's not enough to just develop and publish a website; you also need to optimise it for the search engines in order to rank on top SERP and attract new visitors. Every aspect of on-page SEO is entirely up to you, which is why it's so important to do it correctly.

In the on-page seo process, you'll need to write in-depth and unique content, produce supporting material, and offer new value to the topics already existing on the internet. Compose unique content on your niche to show that you are an expert in it. This is a difficult and time-consuming task, but in the vast majority of cases, the highest-quality content triumphs, especially when accompanied by authoritative backlinks to your website.

Overall, on-page seo is focused on the three important elements as html tags optimization, content optimization, and website architecture. Earlier, we discussed the primary elements of on-page seo i.e. (optimizing meta tags) Meta Title & Meta Descriptions. Below, we will list down the other elements of on-page seo and discuss them in detail:

  • Website Content Elements

  • Page Title Elements

  • Header or Heading Tags Elements

  • Alt Image Tags Elements

  • Website Architecture Elements

Website Content Optimization - Website content optimization is the important on-page seo element. This task will mostly focus on composing high-quality page content that benefits your visitors while also informing search engines that your website is valuable. Choosing relevant keywords is the first step in developing high-quality content. Perform keyword research by typing terms into search engines and seeing what comes up for you and your competitors' websites. There are various free and paid tools available online for in-depth keyword research. One of the best and free keyword research tools is Google Ads’ Keyword Planner. Semrush and Ahref are two other excellent SEO tools that are available in both free and paid versions.

Next, think about how your page's content fits within the purchasing goal and the search intent of your visitors. These factors will influence how you employ keywords and the types of content you create. The buyer's journey can be routed in sequence from awareness, consideration to purchase. If you're auditing your on-page SEO, now is the time to compose or rewrite your webpage content.

Here are some best practices for creating high-quality page content:

  • Make use of short and long-tail keywords in your web content.

  • Include visual content that is both engaging and relevant.

  • Create content for a specific target audience.

  • Try to answer and resolve the problem that your audience is searching for (make use of frequently asked questions in your content).

  • Create content that others will want to share and link to.

The page content is the heart of the on-page SEO process; it's your chance to offer value to search engines and your site visitors. All other on-page SEO factors are dependent on high-quality page content, therefore devote a significant amount of time and money to develop and optimise it.

Page Title Optimization - One of the most significant seo elements is your website page title also known as title tags. Both users and search engines can notice what is on the associated page by looking at the page title. Include the focus keyword for each page in the title to ensure your web page rank for the right intent. As naturally as possible, incorporate your relevant keyword.

Example: <title>Professional Digital Marketing Agency In Mira Road</title>

When creating new pages on your website, most content management systems, such as WordPress, include page titles automatically around the page names.

Heading Tags Optimization - The HTML elements h1>, h2>, h3>, and so on are known as headers, or body tags.

Example: <h1>Best Search Engine Optimization Services In Mira Road</h1>

These tags assist in the structure of your content for users, as well as search engines in determining which parts of your content are the most important and relevant, based on search intent. Include significant keywords in your headers, but make sure they're not the same as the ones in your page title. In your h1> and h2> headers, include your most relevant keywords. Always keep heading tags in sequence starting from h1>, h2>, h3> and so on.

Alt Image Tags Optimization - Inserting an Image alt-text helps to boost SEO for your images on the website. It tells search engines what your images are about, which is crucial because Google now displays nearly as many image-based results as text-based results. As a result, customers may find your website through your images. However, you must include alt-text in your pictures for them to do so.

When adding image alt-text, keep the following in mind:

  • Keep it specific and descriptive.

  • Make it relevant to the rest of the page's content.

  • Keep it under 125 characters long.

  • Please use relevant keywords for the image alt text and do not stuff keywords.

Website Architecture Optimization - The features that comprise your website and site pages are referred to as site architecture elements. The way you build your website can make it easier for search engines to crawl your pages and information.

  • Page Url - Both visitors and search engines should find your page URLs easy to understand. They're also useful for creating subpages, blog articles, and other types of internal pages while keeping your site's hierarchy constant. Example:https://www.edigitalseo.in/website-designing-development/                    In the above example “edigitalseo.in” is the main url or domain and “website designing development” is the internal service page. To keep your website url seo friendly try to use a clean url name without using signs, numbers etc. Keep your focus keywords in your url which should be relevant to your webpage, always use https by purchasing an SSL certificate for your site.

  • Internal Page Linking - The process of linking to other useful pages on your website is known as internal linking. Internal links are vital for on-page SEO because they direct visitors to other pages on your site, keeping them on your site longer and indicating to search engines that your site is interesting and useful. Additionally, the longer people stay on your website, the long search engines have to crawl and index your pages. This allows them to gather more information about your website and, as a result, rank it higher in search engine results pages.

  • Responsive Designing - Responsive web design contributes to the creation of consistent user experiences across every platform and device. For UX designers, responsive design should be a regular practice. When it comes to creating exceptional user experiences for your customers, you must give a seamless experience that suits their demands, which can vary based on the different devices they're using. This means to provide a consistent user experience no matter what device you're using to view it on.

You should be able to access the content you want, tailored to your needs at the time, whether you're on your smartphone or your laptop. Imagine browsing your favourite website on your phone and seeing content spread over the screen, calls to action in the wrong position, and an image that's too large. Isn't it unpleasant? The solution to these difficulties is responsive design. In a nutshell, a responsive design means that your website should look excellent, be simple to navigate and work on any device with any resolution.

  • Loading Speed - Your site must load quickly whether it is browsed on a mobile device or a desktop. Page speed is extremely important when it comes to on-page seo. First and foremost, all the search engines are concerned about the user experience. If your site loads slowly or carelessly, it's probable that your visitors will leave. Furthermore, site speed has an impact on conversions and return on investment. Google's PageSpeed Insights tool may be used to check the speed of your website at any time.

Till now we have gone through all the important elements of on-page seo. In my next article, let's walk through the steps of auditing a website.
