People in U.K like different activities, while they enjoy their holidays. There are many activities like

Surfing, rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, horse riding, fishing, scuba diving etc, which can be converted to, as the best adventure holidays.

1. Surfing

People who are interested in surfing always head to their favorite spots in U.K like Cornwall and near the coast of Pembrokshire in South west Wales. Scarborough is also famous destination for surfing. Surfing can be one of the best activity Break for a family

2. Mountain biking

Mountain biking is a popular holiday sport where a special bike is used for the purpose. One of the popular mountain biking expeditions is Coast to coast trail, high peak trails and the Dalby Forest located in Yorkshire.

3. Hiking

Hiking is one of the popular activities of people during summer. There are many cross country hiking programs conducted over North England, North Wales and the Scottish Highlands. Hiking challenges are also set where people have to hike on the highest peaks and win.

4. Hot air balloon participation

Hot air balloon participation is also one of the activities which are attended by thousands of people. Bristol is known to host the famous ‘Bristol International balloon fiesta, which takes place in Mid August attended by Millions of people. Hot air balloon activity in recent time, is regarded as best adventure holiday for people in Britain and U.K

5. The sea front air show participation

Eastbourne-Sussex is known to host the world’s biggest sea front air show in mid August where different stunt displays by the Red Arrows, The Royal Navy Black cats helicopters and the Belgian’s Air force F 16’s do a fly past. People often come here to watch the air show.

6. Family open air film screening

For the movie buffs, there is this famous and free family open air film screening held in Spinning field-Manchester. Movie lovers can have a go at every Saturday from July end to August from 11 am onwards. The open air film during weekend can give a refreshing activity break for a family

7. Camp fires.

When one is planning to stay overnight at a location, families and friends can be invited over, where camp fires can be lit up at night to enjoy the summer holiday. Dancing, singing and games can be played in camp fires which can take place in a nearby jungle, farm house or in a party plot.

8. Scarborough’s festival of Archaeology

This festival of Scarborough is famous for having an entertaining and fun time with family while doing various activities like archaeological trials and other such activities.

Adults can put their children to activity during the summer holidays, instead of letting them laze around the house. Children can be put to various activities like snorkeling, log rafting, fishing etc. Teaching and introducing these things to children help to bring into them some traits of adventure and team building skills along with self dependency.

The adults can also participate with their children in various events on National Play day held on 3rd August every year that is held to bring out children and their families to play at many community events held across U.K. and indulge in a different kind of activity break for a change.
