Tools to be equipped with for WFH

by Vishnu Vis Product Marketer

Work From Home is the latest trend ( or it should be like, we left with no other option ) in companies with the corona scare & cases rising exponentially. Most of the organizations have this Work From Home ( WFH ) option for some time now but because of this coronavirus, every organization is forced to follow it.

It’s quite hectic to follow or implement it for the first-timers, so here is the article from my side to suggest you with apps/tools which will help you in WFH & carry out on your work hassle-free.

Slack

Slack is like an ecosystem for your work, all the essentials tools like Email, storage, calendar, salesforce integrated with slack & this is one such advantage of using slack. With Slack, you don’t need to open any other app & organize your project in slack itself with plenty of integration options.

You can create separate channels & co-ordinate with teams & accomplish tasks. The best part is you can have calls without leaving slack, it has support to Skype, Zoom & Google hangouts also. You can go through the list of apps in their directory & then arrange everything.

Slack also has a free option which makes it a perfect tool for small organizations or someone who wants to test it out before using. The free option will give access to 10,000 of the recent messages of team members & 10 integrations.

Teams / Skype / uber conference / Zoom

This one is essential for the team even if it’s a normal one or WFH, you can’t skip calls. So you do have a couple of good options here & the best part is most of them are free. Skype is the pioneer in this, with options of audio calling, video calling, chat, screen sharing, this is like a default app for the organizations.

If you are looking to try some other one, Microsoft teams do what all skype does. Zoom is good to host a webinar sort of thing but needs the premium membership. Uber conference free version gives you an option to host for 45 mins which are pretty good for small talk or round up.

Microsoft To-Do / Swipes

Working at home is a bit challenging & organizing our works will be the worst thing to do in-home, this is where a to-do app helps to prioritize things & noting down things to do before the start of the day to be working in an organized manner.

Swipes is a simple app to record things & swipe them once it’s done. A pretty basic app but does the work with minimum functionality. If you are looking for something with much more functionality then go with Microsoft To-do app, you can plan daily tasks, weekly tasks, calendar etc.

HRMS

Human resource management system, managing employees is kind of difficult with everyone working remotely, this is where an HRMS helps. An attendance management system that does tracking attendance to managing leaves, approval of leaves & performance review, a perfect HRMS does it all.

The payroll can also be automated by synchronizing it with attendance, all these processes are done in automation, so HR professionals can breathe easily in managing remote employees with Hr software.

If you are looking for some effective HRMS platform then do try Keka HR for a true employee experience platform with features like payroll management, performance management, attendance & time tracking, leave dashboard & many more.
