Tips on How to buy a Snowy Glam Christmas Tree?

by Pathlie Lee Business consultant

From carols and cards to stories, many of us dream of a white Christmas. If you want to make friends and family feel like theyre walking in a winter wonderland the minute they step into your home, then getting a snowy Christmas tree is high on your list. With plenty of online shops, finding the perfect one is easy. Here are a few tips to help you.

Measure Everything

Before you start, the most important step is to measure the room where youll put the tree. Which spot will it be? Once youre done deciding where to place the tree, measure the height of the ceiling and the width of the area, Today says.

Know Your Options

Youll encounter plenty of options when you shop online. Knowing what you want will help you clear through the selection much faster. Think about the style of the décor youll use. Which tree will be ideal? If you use heavy ornaments, youll want options with sturdy branches, for instance, Martha Stewart suggests. For delicate decorations, those are better suited for feathery branches.

Note the Shape

Some look similar to an Evergreen tree in shape and appearance. If thats the effect you want, then youll have plenty to choose from. This will include trees that are big and fluffy and those that are slim, tall, and straight. Decide which style pleases you the most and works best with your interior décor before you proceed.

Get It Pre-decorated

Part of the fun of getting a Christmas tree is decorating it. But if youd prefer not to spend the entire day fixing up your tree, then you can check out pre-decorated options. These artificial Christmas trees usually have some cones and berries attached or other small touches already. You can still have fun decorating the branches, but you wont need to spend as much time on that, allowing you to take care of all the other items on your to-do list for the holidays.

Consider the Branches

Youll need to choose between hinged or hooked branches. Hinged branches are permanently attached to the tree. You fold them down when you put the tree in storage. Hooked branches, on the other hand, need to set up and removed individually. Of the two, hinged branches mean less work and effort on your part since you can set it up or dismantle it with greater ease. Youre also less likely to lose pieces, and they often come with pre-lit options. For those looking to stay on a budget, though, trees with hook-in branches cost much less.

Think About the Material

When you look for a tree, be sure to check what the needles are made of. Many artificial trees use PVC for the needles, while others use PE or polyethylene. Each one comes with different pros and cons. For PVC, the colors stay constant, and the material is fire resistant, which makes it safer than a real tree. Trees made with PE material, though, look more authentic, so theyre a good option if you want a realistic-looking tree.
