The movement of commodities would have been a question mark if not for these load-bearing hard workers. They are huge very mobile and good at carrying things from one place to another. Occasionally they are also used to move people from one place to another. These are vehicles that perform the task of taking things from one place to another.

Yes, it is a commercial vehicle. These are vehicles that are used to transport heavy loads from one place to another. They are paid for their work accordingly and relatively. Hence the term commercial vehicle emerged as they work on commercial values and purposes.

They are mostly used by traders and merchandise to transport goods from one place to another. These vehicles are mostly trucks, Lorries and heavy transport vehicles. They are owned by individuals or merchants who offer this commercial vehicle for transport purposes.

 Other purposes of commercial vehicle

Apart from transporting goods and equipment from one place to another, the commercial vehicle also offers transport services for people.

Vehicles like busses trains also come under the category of a commercial vehicle.  They offer services at a price. Buses and trains collect fares from people for going from one place to another. People who take public transport pay the commercial value to be paid and then travel in them.

Other services offered by the commercial vehicle include construction vehicles like road rollers, poclaines for demolition and earth manipulation. These vehicles perform various tasks according to their specifications. The road roller is used in road construction to flatten out the roads; the poclaine is used for digging the soil and demolition. And there is various other commercial vehicles used according to their specialities.

 The SCV or Small Commercial Vehicle

This is also a class of a commercial vehicle. The only difference is that these vehicles operate on a small scale. They are used for small goods transport. They travel and transport within the city limits. Their size, fuel capacity all depend on their work and are most commonly small in size when compared to the heavy commercial vehicle.  Their load bearing capacity is less than 4 tons. They have a sub 1000cc engine power. They are used in common cases like house shifting, furniture delivery, and appliance delivery purposes.

Types of a commercial vehicle

There are various types of a commercial vehicle. Some vehicles can be used as both a commercial vehicle and also as a personal vehicle. For example, a person owning a van may use it for travel purposes that time it becomes a personal vehicle but when that person uses it for transporting goods it is a commercial vehicle.

However, the common commercial vehicles are the common commercial vehicles are

  • The Passenger bus or train.
  • The Box truck
  • A Cargo van
  • Cement mixer for road and construction
  • An Ice cream truck
  • A Pickup truck
  • Sport uses vehicle

These are common commercial vehicle types. When it comes to cost the commercial vehicles are pretty cost-efficient. However, the prices may vary depending on the distance and the amount of load it is required to carry. Whatever may be the load, the commercial vehicle does its job to the fullest.
