Things to Consider While Finding the IVF Doctor

by Kate Steel Traveller
Generally, it is found that before finding out an IVF doctor in India, people like to take suggestions from their family doctors and physician. But what is the guarantee that the doctors suggested by them would give you good results? First of all, there is a possibility that your family doctor might not be able to answer the above question and you might also judge the doctor unnecessarily for not telling anything about any other doctor. The doctors are also not sure about the IVF doctor's being suggested as there is no guarantee that they would provide 100% results to the needy patients. And patients also need to know the IVF cost in India so that they are not cheated.

If you want to achieve affirmative results and want a smooth running of the treatment, it is very important for doctor and patient to share a form of mutual trust.

Patients cannot just trust the IVF doctors, for male infertility treatment or women infertility treatment, suggested by their family doctor. It is entirely dependent on the patient to feel a connection that would persuade them to trust that doctor. No physician or a family doctor can forcibly make patients trust an IVF doctor. Trust is something which comes from within the patient. Now many people would oppose this and it is quite obvious to do so. Now you might arise with questions such as how a patient can question a doctor’s capability. Doesn't the doctor have much better knowledge? Hasn’t the doctor studied and practised medicine for years and has a huge experience? However, all the patients should understand that you can and must judge the doctor? It’s not that a patient should judge a doctor by his capabilities of medical knowledge or scientific know-how. If a doctor understands your situation motivated you and is sympathetic and apart from this the doctor generally cares about his or her patients and patients feel relieved then he is a perfect doctor. If you want to find the perfect IVF doctor follow the points below:

1. Proper communication with the doctors is very important and thus patients should start gaining as much as the information they can from the IVF doctor regarding female or male infertility treatment and symptoms or other related conditions. This would help patients gain more information and would also save both the parties time.

2. Below are the list of questions you can ask the doctor.

For how many years has the hospital or clinic been conducting infertility treatment and providing proper services to the patients?

What is the percentage of these treatments being successful in your hospital?

Does your staff work properly?

At what intervals of time is the doctor available?

What are the complications a patient can face?

What are the symptoms of infertility treatment?

What are its side effects?

What is the IVF cost in India?
