Other materials such as enamel, ceramic and glass are heat resistant and easier to clean. Also, non-stick cookware are preferred as they are easy to cook and clean and consume less oil for cooking/frying.

* Durability: While buying cookware, it is important to buy those cookware that are durable and which maintain their good looks for a long time. Stainless steel cookware is considered to be one of the most durable cookware.

* Reactivity: Some metals such as cast iron, aluminium and copper reacts with certain foods which is not good for health. Therefor while buying make sure you buy cookware that are non-reactive.

* Maintenance: Maintaining your cookware is very important as well. Some cookware are easy to maintain while others are hard. Copper and cast iron cookware are difficult to maintain as it requires a bit of work for it to keep looking perfect whilst stainless steel is easy to maintain.

* Price: In order to buy a good quality cookware, you need to shell out a lot of money. Cookware is bought once in many years, therefore it is better to buy good quality, expensive and branded cookware which will last long than buy a low quality cookware which is short-lived.

* Design and color: Apart from its functionality, cookware are available in different shapes and colors to suit your home and kitchen interiors. Gone are the days when cookware was available only in boring, monotonous colors and shapes. These days, cookware are available in bright colors - red, orange, green, pink and other such. They look lively and enhance the beauty of your kitchen.

* Induction bottoms: It is very important to check if the cookware has an induction bottom. Induction cookware can be used on induction stoves as well as on top of normal gas stoves.
