The ShurSEAL® Packaging Solution works due to its Folded-Edge® Technology. The Folded-Edge® Technology allows both edges of the packaging tape to fold along the package as the tape is applied. This process creates a dry edge along the length of the tape when applied, allowing the consumer to grasp and remove the tape with their hand. Because the edge of the tape is reinforced, a stronger seal is created.
When shipping a carton or package, it is essential that the package is sealed with a strong packaging tape to avoid tearing or opening during the shipment process. Packaging tapes with the strongest adhesives are often used, but they are also the hardest to remove. Because of that, knives have always been used in the removal process to make it quicker and easier.
