Noida stands for New Okhla Industrial Development Authority and is a planned city located in Gautam Buddh Nagar district part of Uttar Pradesh State. Noida has got roads laid in a pattern which is grid in nature and has proper planning. All main roads are wide with 6 lanes. They are also well finished. Noida features three most important expressways. One which is the DND Flyway, which connects Noida and Delhi, scuttles across the Yamuna river, and receives heavy traffic from office-people in the city. The 2nd most important expressway is the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway. The third most important expressway is the Yamuna Expressway which unites Greater Noida to Agra thru Mathura. The Delhi–Meerut Expressway, Eastern Peripheral Expressway, Ganga Expressway and the Upper Ganges Canal Expressway are the four expressways under construction which will be going through the city.
