Artificial insemination has been popular since 1970s. In India it is an effective infertility treatment and is preferred by many couples to experience parenthood. It is a process of artificially placing a sperm in the woman’s uterus or the cervix. At Rana Fertility, we carry out the entire process of IUI very carefully.

Read this post to know the process of artificial insemination in the best IUI center in punjab, India.

The procedures involved in artificial insemination

These procedures are very advanced and require expertise as they demand the careful placing of the donor’s sperm into the woman’s uterus. This is done using a flexible and thin tube. The sperm has to be properly cleaned before the process so that the probability of conception increases. We carry out the following two types of artificial insemination.

  1. Intra-cervical Insemination (ICI)

ICI is one of the most popular and common procedures in medical field. It is quicker and almost painless. In this process, we deposit the sperm of the donor directly into the woman’s cervix. It is effective as it increases the chances of the sperm reaching the uterus and fallopian tubes to fertilize the egg. This procedure is very cost-effective and has pretty high success rates.

  1. Intra-uterine Insemination (IUI)

This is a simpler procedure of insemination and is relatively cost-effective. Combining it with ovarian stimulation can produce amazing results and have high success rates. This is good for those couples whose source of infertility has not been identified. It is also effective in cases where the male partner has some deficiencies in sperm production and the female partner has mucus problems in her cervix. In this process, the sperm is placed directly in the fallopian tubes by monitoring the ovary for the release of eggs.
