We spend more time in our bedroom than any other room in the house, did you know that? Because of this, the beds  come in a carefully picked assortment of styles and sizes, ranging from Single beds to Super King size beds. We have beds sized for kids, teens, and even the Emperor, which is 225 cm broad and considered to be the "royalty" of beds is the king bed size. Additionally, several of our beds can be delivered in a range of custom lengths.

Which means that if two people are sharing, which is generally the idea with a double bed, they’ll each get around the width of a baby’s cot to sleep in. A baby’s cot! Preserving your mattress with a mattress protector is imperative, making it an ideal product for mattress cover protector products to prevent the accumulation of moisture and skin flakes in your mattress; an unprotected mattress creates an optimal environment for the breeding of bacteria, dust mites.

Single: 108cm w x 218cm l

Small double: 135cm w x 218cm l

King: 244cm w x 231cm l

Euro king: 250cm w x 231cm l

Super king: 270cm x 231cm l

US king: 284cm x 231cm l

Emperor: 225cm w x 231 cm l

These sizes may vary a little, depending on the bed, so always double check. Make sure you also choose the right size mattress, which will need to be a little smaller all round than the frame. Again, check with our design team who can help. 

Partner

At least three nights every week, both couples must go to bed at the same time. Many couples experience various bedtimes because they have different body clocks. When this begins to happen every night of the week, alarm bells ought to ring.

Make sure the bed is cosy for both couples and not just one of them. Get a bed that works for both of you by going bed shopping with a friend. Because of advances in technology, even couples with differing tastes can find a bed that works for them both. Watch out for styles like zoned mattresses or zip-and-link construction.

Duvets

Separate single duvets can be a lifesaver in situations when duvet hogging is a problem. If you share a bed with someone who has varied temperature preferences, you can also use separate duvets. For a restful night's sleep, a cosy environment (between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius) is necessary. Individual duvets with tog ratings appropriate for each partner will therefore put an end to contentious discussions of the "too warm, too cold" variety.

Buy as big a bed as budget and room size allow. A standard double bed is only 4’6” wide which gives each person just the width of a baby’s cot to sleep in. More room means less partner disturbance.  Ensure the bedroom is an oasis of calm and tranquillity. Therefore, no screens or social media are likely to take attention away from sleep and intimacy.

Covering

Make sure the window covers are blocking the light adequately. Although the long summer days may be appreciated in many ways, light can be bad for body clocks and sleeping patterns. Create a sleep ritual that suits the needs of all parties.

For body clocks to function properly, there must be consistency and routine. Before bed, have a warm milky or herbal beverage or maybe a bath together. Also, make an effort to wake up and go to bed at around the same time every day.

Beverage

Remember that caffeine, alcohol, smoking, exercising or eating too close to bedtime can all make it more difficult to grab a great night’s sleep. When snoring becomes a significant and ongoing problem, seek help. What starts off as a niggle can become a major issue for many couples. So sort it out!
