field. The maven is the Executive Security International (ESI) graduate with a

Counterterrorism and Security Professionals (IACSP), Kent Moyer was determined
to assist people interested in becoming EP agent and thus, came up with the
stellar idea of releasing 5 part DVD series for this purpose. Below he shares
top qualities essential for becoming an EP agent.
The first and foremost quality of a
good executive protection agent is alertness and awareness of the surrounding.
Kent Moyer reveals that a devoted EP agent would avoid distraction as much as
possible. Neither will he miss anything that seems to be of value or a threat
to the security of the person. “An observant security is essential not to
jeopardize lives of anyone, or to not miss out on spotting the potential
criminal or thief in action,” he says,
The second most critical quality
necessary for being a successful EP agent is honesty and diligence with their
honesty. “If the security guard is not honest and works irresponsibly, he can
put the person or the company he guards at risk, and so do not opt for becoming
an EP agent as a hobby or a part-time job, it is a full-time job that requires
commitment and morality,” says Kent Moyer.
Obviously, physical fitness plays a
crucial role in becoming a successful EP agent, yet, Kent Moyer has a distinct
perspective on the significance of physical fitness. After years of experience
providing EP services to esteemed clients and billionaires, he realized that “many
billionaires have expertise in building business empires, yet got no adequate
knowledge of picking the right Executive Protection and security. “People often
fall prey to the eye-candy physique of the EP agent and think that the guy with
the masculine body will be the right person to protect them, yet body shape is
not the correct gauge to measure the level of fitness, and so for people who
desire to be the EP agent, they must opt for professional courses and
certifications other than just hitting the gym each day, which is also
essential, yet just a part of what it takes to be a EP agent,” he says.
Kent Moyer also explains that the executive
protection agent must have phenomenal communication skills, as they need to
share each bit of security concerns with the person who hired them.
“Communication skills required by an EP agent differs in a way that it focuses
on certain aspects. For instance, if there is any security concern or threat,
then it must be communicated to the client in a clear-cut manner yet, focusing
on not to create panic, and so mastering this art of communication is essential
for any aspiring EP agent,” says Kent Moyer.
