Founder of ‘Bridges of Hope’ Bringing Hopes in Lives of Hopeless
by Bianca Rodriguez Content CreatorDaniel
Zopoula, who was born Boura, acquired his basic education at a boarding school
in Diebougou. Later, Daniel proceeded to pursue an M.Div at Ambrose University
from Canada, where he embarked on a journey to become a beacon of hope for the
hopeless.
Daniel
spent the early years of his life as a shepherd, rancher, cotton picker, and
preacher from Burkina Faso. While in Saskatchewan, Daniel encouraged the
establishment of a humanitarian association called Bridges of Hope
International Network of Development Agencies Ltd. After completing his
theological education in Canada with Ambrose University, Daniel started
itinerant work in different areas in Canada and around the globe while promoting
Bridges of Hope International Network. He at that point Settled in Lethbridge
Alberta in the Spring of 2000 with his better half Sara Zopoula, where he
pastored at River of Life Community Church and later at First Congregational
Church prior to planting another congregation on January 28, 2008, the Miz City
Church Lethbridge.
Daniel's
vision made what is known as Bridges of Hope International Network of
Development Agencies in the Summer of 1995 as a philanthropical venture with a
dream to utilize business to battle poverty around the globe while making an
alliance of individual and associations to network for the end of poverty
relief and community empowerment among the least fortunate countries of the
world. He's been dynamic in philanthropic work and research from that point
forward and has encouraged a network of more than 100 associations and
ministries in more than 20 nations. “My mission behind Bridges of Hope is to
bring people who care enough about humanity to come in front and serve with an
aim to eradicate poverty from the face of this world. After all, it is mere
hunger, a pang of desperate hunger, that leads to all the evils in society;
only if this root cause is resolved we can make this world a better place.
Therefore, with Bridges of Hope, I desire to enlighten the lives of people who
are in the pits of hopelessness that poverty brings with it,” says Daniel
Zopoula.
Besides
his work with Bridges of Hope International Network, Daniel has written a book
on Marriage: The All For Nothing Marriage, Why your marriage will murder you
before death do you part. Distributed by FrisenPress and Distributed by The
Ingram Book Company. This is in light of the reality that hopelessness is not
just limited to people with hunger but also extends to the couple who lack
spirituality and desire to put effort into their marriage. “Marriage can be
splendor that brings forth immense joy in your life. My life is the testimony
of this fact, for my wife Sara has been my rock, supporting me to fulfill my
desires to make this place hopeful. Yet, marriage only works to bring joy when
you are whole-heartedly contributing to making it work. Realizing this fact,
and thinking how powerful the bond of marriage is to make impossible possible,
I decided to bring hope in the lives of hopeless couples, who are lost in their
journey due to lack of spiritual direction,” says Daniel Zopoula. “Christ has
done a work in my heart that I surrender my whole, trivial self to serve
humanity, hoping that one day, we human can realize that this world can truly
be a better place to reside in, a place where we are all united in love,” he
adds.
