Seo can be done in two ways :

· On page seo

· Off page seo

Off page seo refers to the building of backlinks from other websites to your webpage. A lot of mainly focus on that and that’s good because it’s a mojor ranking factor ,infact the primary ranking factor but a lot depends upon the on page seo

On page seo comprises of the optimization of title and meta tags according to your focus keyword . you can still rank better than your competitor if you have less backlinks compared to him just by having a catchy title and meta description.when you have a catchy title and meta description ,you will gain more clicks than your competitor and when google bot sees that, it swaps your website with your competitor and ultimately you rank better than him

Things to consider while writing an on page seo optimized content:

· select your focus keyword – pre decide what your focus keyword will be and write content related to that only

· put keyword in title (h1) - the most important thing for an on page seo is putting your focus keyword in the title. If your title starts with the focus that’s more perfect but its not always possible and necessary

· put keyword in subheadings (h2,h3..) – you need to put your focus keyword in your subheadings. It’s a major ranking factor

· keyword density – your keyword density should be around 2%. Make sure of this no very effectively. Higher density doesn’t lead to higher rankings but instead google bot considers it as keyword stuffing and thus it can have anegative effect on your ranking

· keyword proximity – try to keep the distance between keywords at instances approximately same . don’t put all the 2% keywords in one paragraph

· keyword prominenece - try to start your paragraph with the focus keyword. It makes the content more user readable and understandable

· keyword in bold italic underline – make sure u highlight the focus keyword using different attributes.

· internal linking – insert some links bouncing to other webpages of your website so that when google bot comes to your page ,it reaches to other pages linked aswell. Insert atleast three internal links

· outgoing linking – insert 1 outgoing link reffering to anyother webpage not on your website

· use of LSI (latent semantic indexing) – insert some LSI words in your content . find LSI words related to your keyword at the bottom of google search page.

· image optimization -optimize your image in the content properly.your image name, alt attribute, title attribute and caption should contain your keyword. The image should be around content . choose the suitable size of the image

· use plugin yoast SEO – make use of the plugin yoast seo and it can point out the errors you are making in on page optimization.
