The differences between online publishing and offline publishing

Scientist or researchers publish their work online or offline. Many factors have to be taken into consideration while publishing. Some scientist prefers to publish their works online while other may like to publish offline. But there are significant difference between offline publishing and online publishing. Before publishing work, it is important to find which one is more beneficial “online or offline”.

Offline publishing work is pre-sold and the author has to look for a publisher who can publish their work offline. But in online publishing there is no need to pre-selling of work. Online publishers have hired experts who review the scientific papers or journals before publishing and when experts finds it is worth publishing then it will be published.

Offline publishing work is viewed by targeted population. For example, Brochures of an upcoming restaurant will be given in particular area or city. But in online publishing, work is viewed by large number of people all over the world. They can view any articles, scientific paper or journals from any place on earth unless they have an internet connection.

Offline publishing is language specific as they accept only that work written in the local language which can easily understand by local people. But in online publishing, scientific paper or any language can be published.

Work on offline publishing often goes stale and old. Even people don’t like to read an old and stale article. But in online publishing your work never go stale, it remains there, as many people read it again and again for some research purpose.

When it comes to revenue, offline publishing gets limited revenue as compared to online publishing because these days’ people prefer online publishing. Online publishing gives more specific and bulk content than offline publishing in one go.
