The brand new STAR SMOG CHECK PROGRAM has introduced in California with its STAR STATIONS

by Eva M. Student

Glendora is a city in Los Angeles country, California; united states.it is situated in 23 miles or 37 km east of downtown Los Angeles.  According to a survey of 2010 the population of Glendora was 50,073. The state of California is very much strict about controlling the smog emission from the vehicles. The Glendora city of California is also famous for taking necessary steps to control smog emission. Smog is a form of air pollution which is or looks like the mixture of smoke and fog. Smog is created when hydrocarbon gases and nitrogen oxides are exposed to sunlight. When a vehicle goes through a smog test the technicians monitors five gases mainly. The gases are carbon monoxide, hydrocarbon, carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides and oxygen.  Star stations are smog check stations that got higher performance standards certified by the bureau automotive repair. The stations have authorization for testing and repairing smog emitter vehicles. After the test the stations post a sign on the vehicles. Glendora star smog program is the new and modified version of the old smog check program. The first smog check program was introduced in March 1984. And after different modification the star smog program has come in a new form in January, 2013.

Some big changes have taken place in the California smog check program in 2013. Star located smog testing stations have come with some special authorization. Glendora star smog check program is a new and successful attempt to reduce the smog emission rate. According to the program the vehicles that were bought before the year2000 specially in between the year 1976 to 1999 are in danger zone. They are considered to be the strong smog emitters. But the vehicles bought in the year 2000 or after 2000 can easily pass the smog test. So these vehicle owners need not to be worry about facing a smog test. They just have to go to a star smog station and make their transports pass a smog test.

Glendora star smog program is a new and a revolutionary step taken by the state to prevent air pollution. The program is the modified version of the firstly introduced “TEST ONLY” program. “TEST ONLY” stations were established in 1998 with a view to checking smog emission from the vehicles.  Those stations had the authorization for testing smog only but they couldn’t repair any problematic vehicle. Next the “GOLD SHIELD PROGRAM” came in 2007 which also had some lacking. The Gold Shield stations could test, repair and gave certificates to the tested vehicles but ultimately the program failed. So a new and successful program came in the form of “STAR STATION”.   All the smog check stations were inspected well by the BAR (bureau automotive repair) officials and if a station got the required FPR( fail or pass rate) then it was certified as a star station . The star located stations are full of expert technicians who are always ready to help the people.

The Glendora star smog program is a successful step which has become able to remove about 400 pollutants from the city. It helps to prevent air pollution and makes the vehicle owners more cautious in maintaining their vehicles well.
