The bodybuilding myth

by PANAGIOTIS BAMPALIS Fitness Expert

When it comes to bodybuilding, there are a lot of myths out there. Some people think that you have to eat mountains of food every day, or that you have to spend hours in the gym each day.

The truth is that bodybuilding itself is a huge myth that has created amazing stories about body transformations.

In this blog post, I'm going to dispel the serious myth about bodybuilding and show you how easy it is to understand what the body wants.

So read on.

How the myth started

In 1980, Arnold Schwarzenegger began to strongly promote bodybuilding with the typical exhortation: "Do you want to train your body and achieve a healthy and aesthetically beautiful result? Then you need to build big muscles, lose fat, do weight training and take supplements."

It was the classic expression of the time, and all the young people used it and tried to put it into practice. However, what many people didn't realize was that professional bodybuilders were using steroids to help them achieve their results.

While steroids were not yet illegal, they were not widely used or well-known at the time. As a result, many people who followed their advice were unable to achieve the same results, leading to frustration and discouragement.

The myth installation

This beautiful bodybuilding narrative is simple. Here's what you already know:

The use of bodybuilding training to greatly increase a person's bodily physique, to achieve the aesthetic result. This is the only suitable and unique method of exercise that everyone should apply.

This is the method for disorientating individuals from their physical education and from how they should exercise and nourish their bodies. And this is done based on a "scenario":

a) The promotion of unhealthy standards in the name of exercise, physical development, and good nutrition for the body.

b) Setting the wrong goal to attract people.

c) Using bad training methods to achieve this goal

The story is set up very nicely, exploiting a great weakness of human nature - the desire to have a nice appearance and body to be liked by others. The vanity of beauty for the sake of social acceptance is the bait, the cheese, in this story, and it is certainly so alluring that it can attract almost anyone.

The trap of bodybuilding

The tale of the cheese and the trap is an old one, but it remains relevant today. The story goes that a group of mice is lured into a trap by the promise of cheese. But once they are inside, the trap snaps shut, trapping them.

The moral of the story is that people should be careful of what they wish for, as they may end up getting something they don't want. In recent years, the story of bodybuilding has taken on new meaning.

More and more people are finding themselves drawn to unhealthy habits and lifestyles by the promise of instant gratification. But instead of finding happiness and success, they find themselves trapped in a cycle of frustration and dissatisfaction.

The cheese in this story represents the false promises of our society, while the trap represents the negative consequences that can result from chasing these promises. Too often, we fail to see the trap until it's too late.

We need to be more mindful of the messages we're being bombarded with daily, and question whether they are leading us to a better life or not. Otherwise, we may find ourselves trapped in a life that doesn't truly make us happy.

The frustration

Most of you have already experienced this confusion, as well as the worry and frustration caused by the lack of results. And this is so deep that it has raised many question marks about what real physical education is and how we should exercise and develop our bodies.

I am pretty sure that the majority of men have tried to achieve a better physique by applying bodybuilding principles with no significant results. The worst thing is that the frustration raises a lack of confidence about the capability of the human body and that takes us away from the joy of a strong body.

The vision

You need more information about proper training and eating and what is the true meaning to train your body.

In order to understand this better, you must go back to the beginning of human culture, when physical activity was not called "exercise" but was instead an integral part of human life.

You must check the life and the habits of primitive or ancient cultures.

Conclusion

The bodybuilding narrative is just that, a myth.

There is no way to achieve the perfect physique with that training, and everyone should find the proper method of exercise and nutrition in other eras.

Promoting unhealthy standards in the name of beauty is disingenuous and can lead to frustration and dissatisfaction. Be careful of what you wish for, and question whether the messages you're bombarded with daily are really leading you to a better life or not.

Otherwise, you may find yourself trapped in a cycle of disappointment.
