Institution: Lancaster University

Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts is now offering this degree. This degree is intended to provide the foundational skills and knowledge that are necessary for cultural sector managers, and as such is designed as a full-time program that includes a dissertation and a course in research theory and methodology. The graduate will get the opportunity to study the external elements that have an impact on creative arts organizations, as well as hone their abilities in interpersonal negotiation and teamwork. While applicants with an Honors degree in the arts, social sciences, or management will have the best chance of being accepted, the university will evaluate all qualified candidates.

The University of Greenwich

Most graduate-level programs at this school can be completed using the university's convenient online format. University of Greenwich Courses are developed in collaboration with business and industry, and are based on the most recent pedagogical research. The MA in Arts Management is available in both online and on-campus formats at this university. Courses taken on a part-time basis often take two to four years to complete, while full-time study typically only takes a year. A degree of at least Bachelor is preferred. Criteria for Admission

  • Examining Your Command of the English Language Proficiency Test
  • Minimum overall IELTS score of 6.5; minimum score of 6 on each subtest.
  • Minimum TOEFL score required is 87, broken down as follows: 22 on the speaking section, 20 on the listening section, and 21 on the writing section.
  • A score of at least 36 on all four sections of the LanguageCert International ESOL test (listening, reading, writing, and speaking).

If a student's score is not high enough to be accepted into the university, several schools provide pre-sessional English language training. It is recommended that the English Language test report be current on the day of the course's start, as results from certain English language proficiency tests, such as the IELTS, are approved for no more than two years older.

Academic Qualifications

Master's degree programs in the United Kingdom often require applicants to have earned a first- or upper-second-class honors degree (or the international equivalent) in a field related to the humanities, most notably in the arts, social sciences, or business.

Employability

After graduating, students have the option of applying for internships at private businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies. Many college grads have successful careers in their field while also maintaining a creative practice.
