Special Flower Creations For Halloween

by Jessica W. Writer
Most of us are quite familiar with the international festival of Halloween, which developed traditionally from the event of All Hallows Eve observed for honouring Saints in the heaven. In the Irish culture, Halloween is also the day when it’s believed that the boundaries between realms of the dead and the living become thin. In order to chase away spirits on that day, the Celts use lighted pumpkins, which are popular to this day as ‘Jack-o-lanterns’.

The Halloween of this year is about a couple weeks away. Before you start buying chocolates and candies for little kids dressed up as monsters who come knocking at your door, you must work on ways to trick them prior to handing over the treats. Gone are the days of scaring ‘trick or treat’ kids with hunchback statues, toilet-paper mummies or vampire costumes. Why not try something new this time? Doing so would not only encourage the best behaviour from your young visitors, but also add a new twist to scary.

Note that for creating the following arrangements, you will need to get fresh flowers from any good and reputed florist in Yinnar:

Halloween Pumpkin Vase :
In order to make this, you can either use a real pumpkin or a faux one. First, you will have the spray paint the entire thing using matte black finish. Once the finish has dried, you would need to etch on the surface of the pumpkin carefully and then carve a hole on its top using a paring knife. Finally, you must fill the vase with water and place a bunch of fresh orange daisies in it. Your Halloween Pumpkin Vase is ready.

Witches’ Cauldron Display :
Want to surprise your little guests by reconstructing the iconic Witches’ Cauldron? Buy or obtain a black pot and fill it with berries, grasses, and fresh as well as dried flowers. Place some scented potpourri as well, along with bare branches for adding aromatic and dramatic effect. If you want it to appear more spooky, toss a block or two of dry ice in the pot.

Chrysanthemum Pumpkins :
For this wonderful Halloween-themed creation, you will need chrysanthemums in various sizes, shapes and colours, with orange being the prominent shade. In addition to that, collect differently sized pumpkins as well and carve faces into them. Arrange them in the way you like and get ready to spook your little guests when they arrive.

Besides using these ideas, also try to set up a scary atmosphere in and around your house.
