RSS and Hindutva Hate Propaganda Against Muslims

After the Modi led BJP government came to power in India in 2014, its patron organisation RSS got a free hand to spread venom against Muslim community, which is the largest minority in India thinking of establishing Hindu rashtra in the country.

The RSS and its offshoots viz., Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal and all others decided to  resort to hate propaganda against a particular community in the name of nationalism to prove that the community is anti-National.

The RSS and Hindutva hate propaganda has almost vitiated the the political atmosphere in the country unnerved the secular and democratic minded citizens.

Muslims have been ,ade the easy target for the RSS and Hindutva forces and the were strengthened by the ruling BJP government which came to majority with thumping majority.

Mob lynching in the name of cow and other invalidated excuses were let lose against Muslims. A sizeable number of Muslims lost their life and home and hearth as a result of mob lynchings encouraged by RSS hate mongers and supported the people in power.

Popularization of RSS and Hindutva Hate campaign was done by the main stream media, popularly called Godi media who are always there to defame a particular community and to make money. The sad part of the whole scenario is that the RSS and Hindutva hate propagandists comfortable shut their eyes and neglected the role of Muslim community in the achievement of Freedom from the British.

The Godi media has done its work in the popularisation of Hindutva hate campaign rathere strengthened it by presenting the things in a bizarre and questionable formate. But who can queasion the RSS Hinduta propaganda?

This chunk of Godi media, which consists of nearly a dozen 24-hour national and regional TV news channels, is infamous for biased reporting and fanning communal hatred in society. Their journalists and anchors routinely engage in spreading fake news and causing hatred towards the country’s 200 million Muslim community and Islam. They, in fact, nourish Islamophobia. As someone rightly remarked, “the Indian media is not doing journalism but waging a jihad (holy war) against Muslims. It acts like hyenas”.

Prominent among these pro-BJP/RSS news outlets are English television channels Republic TV, Times Now, India Today and CNN-News18, and Hindi TV channels Zee News, ABP News, Aaj Tak, India TV, Sudershan News, News Nation and News24 (India). All the above-mentioned titles fit these channels for one reason or the other.

The term “godi media” was coined for these channels by Ramon Magsaysay award winner journalist Ravish Kumar of NDTV. He inherently spoke of the lap of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government and its lapdogs, according to reports.
