Protect Your Skin with This Facial Sunscreen

by Ahsan T. Marketing manager

Your face is the most prominent part of your skin, there is no question it deserves special attention and care. One of the vitals to skincare, regardless of your skin type is sunscreen. Sunscreen works to protect your skin from UVA and UVB rays originated from the sun. These rays can cause many problems such as.

l   Uneven or irregular skin tone

l   Solar lentigines

l   Wrinkles

l   Melasma

l   Skin cancer

How to Select Your Ideal Sunscreen?

Sunscreen works to scatter the UV rays before they penetrate your skin. When selecting your sunscreen, you must understand what to look for. Firstly, like any other skin product you must check if it contains any chemicals, you're allergic to, if you're not certain try doing a patch test.

Secondly, you need to understand what SPF determines. For example, if you wear a sunscreen with a rating of 15, that means if it takes 10 mins for the skin to be affected by the rays, now it will take 150 mins. It basically determines how much more time it is okay for you to spend in the sun.

The recommended sun protection factor is above 15, it is important that it is water-resistant and levels with your wants. If you were to spend a beach day, the recommendation would be SPF 40 or higher but if you were to spend a casual day running around doing errands SPF 15 works just fine.

Sun Screen Cream for Skin Protection

The Best Sunscreen

Sunscreen is known to be an icky white paste which is impossible to blend into your skin, but Saniderm sun protective cream has been a game-changer since it came out. Known to be one of the best sunscreens in Pakistan; it is easy to apply with no paste-like consistency which makes it feel as if you're rubbing paint on your face. The best part about this product is the fact that it is designed for a country like Pakistan where skin tones are extremely diverse, this means that it won't have the ashy after effect. People dread putting sunscreen because of many reasons like, it causes them to break out, makes the skin appear oily, feels heavy on the face and, most commonly, smelling like sunscreen. This product has none of these effects, in fact, it feels as if you have applied a thin layer of lightweight moisturizer and makes your skin glow and look runway-ready, all while protecting your skin.

No Excuses

One of the commonly believed myths about sunscreen is that you dont need sunscreen when its cloudy, this is not true at all. The clouds may block the most harmful form of the UV rays but that only means 20%, it is not okay to expose your skin to 80% of the harmful skin penetrating rays. You need to adopt the habit of wearing sunscreen daily since it doesn't matter if it’s cold, warm, cloudy, foggy; the UV rays are still present and will cause damage.
