Problems Faced By Homeless Veterans.

As per the common saying, 'man is a social animal', which basically implies that if the social needs are not balanced, then this animal could turn into wild too, essentially without a shelter. There are a lot of problems being faced by veterans who do not have a house. Given below are some of the problems being faced by the homeless veterans which worsens their condition:
● As they do not have shelter, they are devoid of their family. The care of clans is ever more precious and warmer than any other person. They do not have a family to talk, or they do have, but the family members are not in favour to converse with them. In both the conditions, the veterans are made to feel empty and alone, which affects their mental health. At times, they also lose their mental stability and suffer from various medical disorders.
● Roaming helplessly on the streets, the veterans are often tortured or abused. The passers-by often make harsh comments on them or give bad words to ruin their mortality. Some of them even physically exploit them, including sexual abuse. The poor veterans are literally made to feel vulnerable and are insulted.
● Along with their dwelling need, they struggle for their eatables too. Some days, the people in the nearby area offer them fresh food, but most days they survive on the leftover or even on no food. Thus, they do not get the necessary nutrition to stay healthy and, as a result, they suffer from various physical health issues as well.
● Staying on the roadside, they are away from personal hygiene and often becomes a victim of the other unhygienic things in the surrounding. Also, they do not have proper clothes that could keep them protected, and the clothes they wear are dirty and torn because they have been put on for a long time.
Being aged, mentally unstable and, on the top of it, being starved; the veterans undergo self-degradation with each passing day. No matter who they are, one thing that we must remind ourselves is they have life. We must look after them and if possible, Donate To Homeless Veterans whatever or whichever way we can.
