Not many Scholarships in India offer monthly scholarships for school students, but the Micro Scholarships Programme by Sri Aurobindo Society does. Students of class 6-12 get a maximum of INR 1000 per month by successfully attempting multiple quizzes. This is the world’s first micro scholarship programme meant for school students that promote incentivized learning amongst the students.

The Micro Scholarship amount that gets deposited into the student’s mobile wallet acts as a learning nudge for the students. The Micro scholarship is unique in its concept as it creates a win-win situation for students, parents, and students. While the students earn knowledge and the scholarship amount, the parents also benefit they can use the scholarship amount to pay for their wards’ tuition fees or any other educational expense purpose. 3.    National Means Cum Merit Scholarship

Department of School Education and Literacy offers this scholarship for the students of Class 9. Only those applicants who have secured at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in the Class 8 examination are eligible for this scholarship. A test is conducted by the department and based on these students are selected. This means-cum-merit scholarship can be availed by the students of the families whose annual income is lesser than INR 1.50 lakhs.
