Panasonic India - Bringing Technology to your Home

by Rahul Khanna Tech Blogger

Any good brand climbs the ladder of success with a clear vision and a lot of hard work. For a brand like Panasonic, they have always had just one vision that is to cater to people’s needs which is what they have been following since their brand was formed in 1955. Panasonic is committed to creating a better life and a better world, continuously contributing to the evolution of society and to the happiness of people around the globe and hence their brand slogan “A Better Life, A Better World”.

Before Panasonic India became the regional hub to drive growth and build deeper inroads into the fast emerging Asiatic, Middle Western and Western economies, Panasonic initially started as a brand for audio speakers. It started as a producer of light bulb sockets and since then it has grown to become one of the largest Japanese electronics manufacturer, globally. As of now, Panasonic is dependent on 4 pillars of business, namely consumer electronics, housing, automotive and B2B.

Out of all these pillars, Panasonic India has been making a huge progress in the smartphone business. The revolution first started in 1971 with the in-car-phone launched for the overseas market. There was no looking back after that and a series of successful launches started happening. The pager was launched in the US in 1972 and cell phones were launched in 1985 and that’s when Panasonic achieved its first milestone by making a sale of 10 million cell phones overseas.

With the starting of the 21st century, World’s first 3G smartphone was unveiled with NTT docomo in the year 2001. They went on to launch world’s slimmest 3G phone in 2008. The 3G smartphones were launched for the first time in Panasonic India and from there onwards, Panasonic smartphones spread like a wildfire. In 2014, they launched their most raved about series, Eluga series, in India. After the success of 3G phones in Panasonic India, 4G smartphones were launched in the year 2015 and they were just as much appreciated as the previously launched phones.

Panasonic India saw its first factory in India in the year 2016 in order to increase more awareness of Panasonic’s products and services. Last year, they introduced a new technology called ARBO which is a AI powered assistant, embedded inside their flagship series smartphones launched thereafter. Panasonic India has been upping their game in all their services, especially when it comes to smartphones.
