Over all developments and housing in Dubai

by Jenny Jonson Writer

Dubai has witnessed a rapid growth in the emergence of a well-developed housing system that has resulted in an improved life style scenario as of today. In this fast growing world, one of the most rapidly developing regions is Dubai. In Dubai, more and more developmental opportunities as well as residential provisions are available than ever before. Housing in Dubai has seen development and construction of numerous ultra-high sky scrapers, or rather towers as they are commonly known in the recent decades.

For example, the Jumeirah Lake Towers Free Zone comprises 79 towers raised circumferentially along the four artificial lakes as part of developments for housing in Dubai. The four lakes namely are — Lake Almas West, Lake Almas East, Lake Elucio, and Lake Allure. This façade also includes the JLT Embankment of 8 towers facing the Jumeirah Islands. The beautiful expanse of the lakes, waterways and landscaping extends to covering an enormous area of 730,000 square metres!Apart from the centre-most tower, which has 66 floors, the circumferential towers are constructed having 35 floors to having 45 floors! The tallest tower which is also the Centrepiece —the Almas Tower — has its own island between Lake Almas West and Lake Almas East.

Among such rich, luxurious venues of boulevards, avenues, and resorts, many a name of projects underway or even already completed have uplifted the way Dubai appears on the global map of tourism and provisions for searching for housing in Dubai. To cite a few names from Dubai’s kitty — The Lagoons to be completed by 2011; The Palm Islands comprising Palm Jebel Ali, Palm Deira, and Al Mamzar Island; and last but not the least — The Hydropolis slated to be the world's first underwater luxury resort constructed 66 feet or 20 meters below the surface!

One of the most awaited housing developments is the master plan of Jumeirah Garden City. This project is targeted at the redevelopment of a 9,000,000 (nine million) square meter land area, which has had been conceptualized as part of the 2015 strategic plan for serviced apartments Dubai. The Jumeirah Garden Citydevelopment plan envisions 12 districts with a ginormous 14,000,000 (fourteen million) square meters of built up area! It is estimated to incur an approximate 350 billion dirham (approx. $95bn) of expense in developing this stretch of land in Dubai. The Jumeirah garden city will open its residential doors to a massive population inflow of 50,000 to 60,000 residents.

Another investment in the pipelines announced way back in 2006, is the Bawadi project by the government of the United Arab Emirates and numerous other investorsinterested in serviced apartments Dubai. The master plan of Bawadiproject involves a 10-km long boulevard in Dubai showcasing 51 hotels provisioning more than 60,000 rooms! One investment — the hotel resort Asia-Asia Hotel —is designed, planned, and in construction to be the largest hotel in the world with more than 6,500 rooms! Many of these hotels will provide guests and tourists with various theme pavilions such as the Americas, Middle Eastern, African, and European among various others. One hotel already up and open is the Wild Wild West Hotel with an intrinsic, all- American look and feel.
