Our TILE, Your sTILE!
by Dhriti Dixit Luxury Marble Company in IndiaWall tile is a thin object, usually square
or rectangular. Flooring is a manufactured piece of hard-wearing material such
as ceramic, stone, metal, baked clay, or even glass, generally used for
covering roofs, floors, walls, or other objects such as tabletops.
Alternatively, wall tiles can sometimes refer to similar units made from
lightweight materials such as perlite, wood, and mineral wool, typically used
for wall and ceiling applications. In another sense, a tile is a construction
tile or similar object, such as rectangular counters used in playing games.
Wall Tile is often used to form wall and
floor coverings and can range from simple square tiles to complex or mosaics.
The walls of your house are a blank canvas;
you can make wall tiles your paint. You can add warmth and texture with natural
stone mosaics or bring glamour to your walls with reflective wall tiles or
high-end marble. The options are endless, but the top 6 types of wall tiles
are:
Ceramic
Tiles
Ceramic tiles are just thin fragments of
clay, camouflaged with a glaze and fired to create a surface that is highly
waterproof, serviceable, and stain-resistant and usually with a pattern or
colour on the face. The cover may be textured or smooth.
Cork
Tiles
Cork tiles are manufactured by cutting
pressed layers of a cork tree’s bark to create thin panels. Their surface is
warm, but it stains easily and is not easily cleaned unless it is scaled. These
wall tiles can adhere to the wall with contact adhesive or cork tile adhesive,
which makes them comparatively easy to stick but almost impossible to remove
later.
Metallic
Tiles
Metallic tiles are manufactured from thin
sheets of metal. These wall tiles can adhere to an adhesive or double-sided
self-adhesive pad. They can be bent or cut to shape with scissors while for the
tougher ones, tin snips may be needed. Besides, the effect of metallic tiles
may be overprinted with a particular design or a pattern.
Mirror
Tiles
Mirror tiles are silvered glass. Most are
clear glass, but you have options of bronze, silver, or smoke-grey finish. They
are mostly utilized for embellishing the backs of cubicles and the same small
areas. These wall tiles adhere with small double-sided self-adhesive pads.
Brick
and Stone Tiles
Brick and stone tiles are the reproduction
of real brick and stone and are human-made. Some are slivering of brick or
wafer-thin fragments of pressed stone aggregate. Most types of wall tiles
adhere to unique adhesive. A vast range of shapes, colours, and sizes is
available.
Mosaics
Tiles
Mosaics are small fragments of ceramic
tile, mostly square, though circular and interlocking shapes are also
available. The gaps between the pieces of collection can be filled with grout.
Although the grouting may gradually stain, the surface of the mosaics is easy
to clean and hard-wearing.
