One Internet, 2 Types of Contents, Many Viewers

by Aaron Harris Web Traffic Expert
We have one internet that binds us viewers in reading contents. These are your OCR and ORC contents. Clueless? Know these two, here!

Wherever website we visit on the internet, there will always be contents sitting around the corner. It may be as short as a 2 to 3 sentences or as long as a 2 page story, there will always be a content that will play a vital role when it comes to attracting targeted website traffic. As web marketers, we are fully aware about the changes and the effects in our traffic flow when it comes to your contents. Good contents always contribute to better SEO and customer satisfactory rate (since contents sometimes satisfy viewers when it comes to information).

A website without a good content is expected to fail and fall in the process. Remember that it is not enough to have a simple content inside your site. Your contents must be optimized completely so that search engine crawlers could recognize it. Once it is indexed, it could increase web traffic drastically. Un-optimized contents are usually left on your site untouched (if not punished) by search engine crawlers. This is why majority says that your content can be a game-changer when it comes to your online marketing game.

With one connection to the rest of the world, it would be easy for us to identify which contents is useful and accepted not only by search engine crawlers but also by your website traffic. This is why I came up with these 2 simple coined categories that will help you identify the content that you are looking at right now.

Optimized for Crawlers but not for Readers (OCR)

OCRs are your typical contents that are “super” optimized for search engine purposes. You might probably see this mostly on websites who creates contents for the sake of having one. Although you might have to admit that these sites are the ones who usually pop-up on the top of your search engine page results (or SERPs). The problem with these contents is that they usually end up being stale, boring, robotic and monotoned.

Your typical OCRs do look great at first. They have a good title (which always include their keywords even though it sounds awful) and a well-organized keyword choice. What turns its readers off is that its contents do not deliver its message well, sometimes leaving its real traffic dumbfounded at a moment.

Optimized for Readers but not for Crawlers (ORC)

ORCs are the plain opposite of OCR. The good news about ORCs is that it can recover its lost index chances from its readers satisfactory. Yes, they are still optimized but not that much optimized as to crawlers identifying it and putting it in the top of SERPs.

The problem of ORCs is that they are not easily seen by viewers because they fall back of the line when it comes to its page ranks.

So fellow marketers, what is your choice? Will you settle for an OCR or an ORC article? Which do you want to please more? Crawlers or your website traffic? It is for you to decide.
