NGO Working for Disaster Management in India

by Krishna Tomar Digital Marketer - NGO Volunteer

The Indian government is working with NGOs to prepare for disasters, but it's not enough.

India has a long history of suffering from natural disasters, including flooding and earthquakes that have destroyed homes and caused injuries and deaths. In recent years, scientists have warned about increasing risks due to climate change and carbon emissions from industry.

NGOs are trying to help disaster victims get back on their feet after these natural disasters by providing food and shelter. But disaster management needs more funding from corporates and individuals so it can train more people in disaster management so they can respond faster when another disaster hits India.

NGOs working for disaster management in India are a great source of help for anyone who has been affected by a natural disaster. They can assist with providing food and shelter, as well as providing counseling and care for people who have lost family members or homes through their flood relief programs. They also have the capacity to offer mental health services to people who have suffered trauma during disasters.

Smile Foundation is one of the most hands-on nonprofits working in the area of disaster management in India.
