New Rolex Watches Launched In Baselworld 2019
by Kapoor Watch CompanyWhen you think of
Rolex, you think of class and quality. As far as new releases are concerned,
the brand has a different take on it. Instead of delivering new references
altogether, they essentially work on existing models and present them in a
better way. That is something Rolex is good at, indeed. The 2019 edition of the
Baselworld had some pretty exciting contenders from the Swiss horologist. Let
us take a look.
Datejust 31
The most selling watch in the entire Rolex catalogue had to be included in this year's Baselworld Expo. This year, the brand introduced newer variants to the already established watch. Rolex Datejust is now available in a combination of yellow Rolesor and an elegant olive green dial, and a steel-cased timepiece with a black dial.
Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II
The GMT-Master is a renowned collection and the image it has created for itself is remarkable. Rolex released the GMT-Master II in this year’s Baselworld Expo with a slight twist. They relaunched the Batman bezel, an essentially black and blue Cerachrom bezel with a Jubilee bracelet, replacing the earlier Oyster bracelet. The watchmaker also changed the movement in the watch. It now uses the Calibre 3285 which has an extended power reserve of up to 70 hours.
Day-Date 36
The Rolex Day Date collection has long been the apple of the eye for the Geneva-based watchmaker. This year, they released the watch in much more trendy designs. Two of the most popular ones are the 18-carat yellow gold with a green ombre dial and the 18-carat Everose gold with a brown ombre dial. Other versions include an 18-carat white gold watch with a pink opal dial and an 18-carat yellow gold watch with a turquoise dial. The last combination and the most expensive one is made of 18-carat white gold watch paved all the way with diamonds. The bezel consists of 52 brilliant-cut diamonds while the bracelet sports 412 brilliant-cut diamonds in the centre links.
The Sea-Dweller
The Rolex Sea-Dweller
was the only tool watch in the brand’s catalogue that did not offer any model
in precious metal. Well, until now. The brand introduced the new ‘Rolesor’
version in the 2019 edition of the Baselworld Expo. The timepiece is made of
Rolex’s patented 904L Oyster steel and 18-carat yellow gold. Along with being a
certified chronometer, the watch is a sight for sore eyes. Now that the watch
is available in precious metal, it truly exudes a ‘luxury’ vibe.
The Yacht-Master 42
The Rolex Yacht-Master is a pretty well-known name in watch enthusiast circuits. The watch is a part of the brand’s professional watch branch that consists of names like the Sea-Dweller, Milgauss, and Cosmograph Rolex Daytona. This year, the brand launched the coveted timepiece in a new 42mm case. Perhaps the most eye-catching feature about the watch is the 60-minute bidirectional Cerachrom bezel that comes in matte black.
Although there are no
strictly new watches in the market this year by Rolex, these releases do a
pretty well job in upholding the name of the brand.
