Nervous Dental patients need not worry. Have dentistry whilst you sleep.

by PRC Agency PR

I don't know about you - but I am terrified of the dentist.

I'm not afraid to admit it, they're scary, and they put drills and stuff, right in your mouth.

I know that doesn't sound encouraging, but hear me out - I'm terrified of the dentist, but I go for regular visits anyway, and it's not that bad.

All you really have to do is find a dentist that understands, and instead of saying, "suck it up," says, "Let's fix that for you."

That's what I found at the Anacapa Dental Art Institute - they understand that dentists can be terrifying, and that even if you're not scared, it can still be painful.

So they got rid of the pain. Easy-peasy.

Keep reading, and I'll tell you everything you need to know.

If you already know all about sedation dentistry or just want to skip straight to their website.... well, I guess that's allowed. Just visit https://anacapadental.com

Here's how it works.

You get to pick between 4 levels of sedation, which I'll explain in a minute, and while you're feeling no pain, they fix your teeth. Simple, right?

Don't worry, I'm not talking about the "local anesthetic" they inject into your mouth - I'm talking about treating the pain, before they put a needle in your mouth. That's very important. Before, not after.

It's one of the first things they'll do when you show up actually, so that by the time you're ready to get your teeth worked on, you're already in La-La Land. Whether that means you're actually asleep, or just feeling so relaxed that you don't care what they're doing, depends on you.

For minor pain, the dental team will often suggest nitrous oxide, which you probably know as laughing gas. This is a great option if pain is your primary concern. It's so safe, it's been used for over 170 years, and it wears off almost instantly, leaving you with no grogginess, so you can even drive yourself home.

The most common choice, and my personal favorite, is called "oral conscious sedation," but I just call it the Chill Pill. When you show up, they'll give you a tiny, tiny little pill, and ask you to sit down for about 20 minutes while it takes effect.

Once it does, you'll still be awake and aware, but you won't be bothered by much. In my experience, it was like the whole visit happened during a dream - except that my eyes were open, and there was no pain or even concern about the dental work being done.

The cool thing about this dream though, is that when you wake up you have a new set of teeth, your old teeth repaired, or whatever it is you went in for originally.

Honestly, in most cases, that's more than enough sedation. However, that's not to say it's the right solution for everybody. If you have a higher pain sensitivity or a deeper phobia of the dentist than I do, you still have options.

They also provide two deeper levels of sedation, which are administered by trained, licensed, and certified anesthesiologists. You can choose between IV sedation, which will keep you even more deeply relaxed throughout your visit, or general anesthesia, which will allow you to sleep through the entire process.

I haven't tried it, but I imagine falling asleep with your damaged, stained, or missing teeth, and then waking up with a whole new set, already surgically implanted, is a great feeling.

I checked their reviews online too - because I would never want to recommend someone who wasn't just as great to all their clients - and Wow.

They have well over 600 reviews on Google, and a 5-star rating. That's practically impossible unless your service is perfect, every single time.

I didn't write this review, but here's one that really resonates with how I feel, “I am thrilled with the results, and I know that I specifically chose the right doctor for the procedure. Thank you again for bringing my confidence back, I can show my beautiful smile now without being awkward.”

If you want to show your smile again without being awkward, you shouldn't have to go through a bunch of pain to do it.

With the Anacapa Dental Art Institute, you don't have to.

Just don't forget to ask about your sedation options when you book your appointment, at https://anacapadental.com and tell Dr. Jivraj that I said Hi.
