Navigate your World Offline with your Smartphone

When you go somewhere and don’t know the directions, you just turn on the navigation and follow the directions to reach your destination. But there can be possibilities of losing the reception on your way and you may get lost. Finding your way without a connection is a bit difficult. Suppose you are driving and going somewhere navigating and lose reception.  Nothing in this world is more annoying than being near a place and missing a turn or not having reception to even call anyone to ask for directions to get back on track. 

If you are going to a new place, hill station or anywhere you will always be in need of a map to search for places and for directions. In hilly areas or in most rural areas there can be a lot of connection problem which can lead you in trouble. So here you go with your Smartphone in navigating your world offline. Latest android mobile phones has all the applications that you need. You can search and look for places in fraction of seconds. 

Use the Google Map Application on your android Smartphone and search for a city, state or country. Before all you could do was to simply view an area of the map offline but now you can get turn-by-turn driving direction. Simply add locations and places to offline Areas and navigate them when in need. 

Follow these simple steps to get started:

1. Press “ Home” button. Go to the “Menu”.
   
2. Open “Google Maps” from the Menu.
   
3. From the “Google Maps” pull up the the place information from the bottom and then press “Download”. 
   
4. Adjust the area you want to download & press “Download” again.
   

Also you can go to the “Offline Areas” section in the Google Maps Menu and press the “+” button to add the location you want to navigate.

Google Maps will automatically switch to offline mode once your download is done. Whenever you want to navigate and you don’t have any connection, you can use the downloaded material. As soon as you’re connected again, Maps will go back online to let you use all its features again.
