increase their writing accuracy. To help disabled people more emphasis are been
given for speech recognition systems enabling more and more people to get the
benefits from such system. Dictation given in the format of scribe has not only
helped the user to improve their writing skills but has also helped the user to
improve to complete their given task at much faster rate when compared to old
traditional method.
Due to high research been done on such system,
there is another option to use assistive technology where technology such as
word processors or word prediction software are been used. Such kind of
software is been used by those students for whom handwriting is not important. As
any technology has its advantages and disadvantages, this system also has both
advantages and disadvantage for user who are carrying physical
disabilities. Each connectivity or access to spelling and grammatical check
has assisted the physically disabled user to easily identify the error is the
advantage for the user. Using word processor can be a disadvantage where at the
initial stages, where physically disabled user needs to update the information
or details in the system which can recognize the vocabulary of the user, which
is part of difficult for such type of users.
There are various other options for physical
disabled individual for using word prediction software, where most of the
software based on prediction is compatible with the available word processor.
As and when user is writing through this software the prediction software
starts predicting the words along with the typing speed. A set of description
matching the desired output is been displayed to the user, in case user needs
to select any option the corresponding selected word typed on the Computer
screen. In case the desired word is not available on the displayed list, user
does not have to type or do any command, he/she just continue typing, the
displayed list will automatically gets disappear from the screen.
