Mitsubishi Colt – The Supermini Car For You

Mitsubishi Colt has been extremely reliable with excellent quality, good fuel economy, and can be handled well. The Colt still stands with a roomy interior and stylish appearance with the Evo-style nose which makes it stand out on the road. The numerous improvement in the back seats proves the versatility of the car. 

1978 Mitsubishi Colt 1100

Mitsubishi Colt has been reintroduced as a hatchback from 1978 to 2002 and was sold as Mitsubishi Mirage in Japan. Between 1978 and 2002, Mitsubishi Colt has been released for five generations, and in 2002, the new 5-seater Colt Z30 hatchback was released with either a 3-door or 5-door layout.

Colt Z30’s cabin has enough space for 5 passengers with plenty of headroom and legroom. Though the boot space was a bit limited it has split-folding seats for extra boot space. The exterior has cat-eyed headlights, rectangular beam encasements, and an inclined bonnet along with a slanted windscreen. The Mitsubishi Colt Z30 layout has a sense of uniqueness with a sleek design, complementing modern and dandy angular lines.


The Colt offers several engine choices: 1.1-liter MPI Mivec 3A91 3-cylinder petrol produces 55 KW(75 HP) at 6000 with fuel consumption of 5.5 L/100KM (42.8 mpg), 1.3-liter MPI Mivec 4A90 4-cylinder petrol produces 70 KW (95 HP) at 6000 rpm with fuel consumption of 5.8L/100KM (40.5 mpg), 1.5-liter MPI Mivec 4A91 4-cylinder petrol produces 80 KW (109 HP) at 6000 rpm with fuel consumption of 6.2 L/100KM (37.9 mpg), and the 1.5-liter OM639 Di-D 3-cylinder turbocharged diesel produces 70 KW (95 HP) at 4000 rpm with fuel consumption of 21.7Km/L. These engines were mated to either a CVT, 5-speed manual, or 6-speed automatic transmission.


2006 Colt Ralliart Version-R

Mitsubishi released the Colt Ralliart Version-R in 2006, the sporty trim of the seventh generation Colt and was offered in a 5-door layout. The front seats were Recaro bucket seats with two passenger seats on the rear and can comfortably accommodate four tall passengers. The dashboard is attractive with easy-to-use knobs and is made of high-quality materials.

The front features featured headlamps and redesigned taillights. The redesigned Colt’s body has a stiffened body shell with some sports-tuned suspensions, a thicker front stabilizer bar, and 16-inch tires.

The Colt Ralliart Version-R offers a 1.5-liter 4G15 4-cylinder Turbocharged Mivec petrol produces 120 KW (163 HP) at 6000 rpm and fuel consumption of 6.6 L/100KM (35.6 mpg), mated to a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. 


2010 Mitsubishi Colt

The 2010 Mitsubishi Colt Plus offers standard width and height of 1695mm x 1550mm. The Mitsubishi Colt Plus interior design is very stylish with fancy and elegant touch. Standard and optional features include a smart key with push-start system, touch screen infotainment system, Bluetooth, and HDMI along with a GSP guide system. Other features are a radio, rearview camera, stereo system, and USB port. The Colt can accommodate 5 people and has enough cargo space with folding flat rear seats. The Mitsubishi Colt Plus exterior is stylishly designed with LED daytime running lights and bright LED taillights.

The 2010 Mitsubishi Colt Plus is fitted with a MIVEC 1.5L INVECS-III engine mated to a CVT transmission, (LTPH, LSPH) models 1.3 RX, 1.5 RX mated to a CVT with 6-speed sport mode settings. The Colt Plus model has a fuel tank capacity of 45 liters with fuel consumption of 16.7Km/L.
