Maintenance and care of your sculptures

painted metal sculptures for garden is becoming a hot demand among sculpture
lovers. But it requires a little maintenance to keep as it is like you had
bought from the store. This article suggest you some tips on how you can take
care of metal sculptures –
Stainless steel sculpture: Coated with a thin layer of steel, the stainless
steel resists the dust and helps in maintaining the shine. Use spectra clean
system to remove the rust or non-scorching bites can be also used to remove
rust from the corner. Do regular inspection or follow-up care to remove tarnish
and lite rust as it appears.
Bronze Sculpture: keep your Bronze metal sculptures for garden clean while removing the dust with a
cotton clothes, shoe brush, toothbrush or others. If heavier cleaning is
required, try to clean one portion of the sculpture first with a detergent shop
and distilled water. Rinse it through the clean water and observe what happen.
Doesn’t it clean the part or leaves bad impact.
Cor-ten sculpture: Such kind of sculptures doesn’t require
maintenance. If you need to remove the things that stuck in the sculpture, just
wipe it. Don’t use steel wool cloth! If some finish gets leaves out, then you
don’t need to worry as the sculpture itself clean it. Be patient and the sculpture
will again start shining. Cor-ten sculpture is suitable for geographical
locations like – salt lake location or harsh weather environment.
Wax sculpture: Use a cotton cloth to rub gently
until/unless you get the desired shine. Move the cotton cloth in a circular
motion on a large surface to remove the dust particles. Wax sculptures are
considered as a very sensitive sculpture, which is made from the wax. Make sure
that your wax sculpture doesn’t come straight to the sunlight.
Aluminium sculpture: Aluminium
is used in a variety of products from car wheels, dishes to window frames. After
sometime, these aluminium pieces can leave a dark mark and misplace their
shine. Wash the aluminium sculpture with dish soap and water. Don’t use baking soda, scrubbers and abrasive
cleaners.
Sculptures require a little care
and if you do regular maintenance of your indoor or outdoor sculptures, its
life increases. Apart from all these, wooden
sculpture for garden also require care to remain in good shape, design and
color. With little extra care, sculptures will remain safe and shiny.
