Live and Sleep Mattress Review | Float On!

by Sleep Sherpa Sleep Expert

It’s been a while since I have reviewed the Live and Sleep mattress. Recently I was given their Luxury mattress to review and below are my findings. This mattress is plush and has foam that contours really well. Overall it feels great and would be ideal for side and back sleepers. Live and sleep also offers the Classic and Elite mattresses.  A queen size Luxury mattress retails for $849.

The more memory foam mattresses I sleep on the harder it is to point out their unique features or how they sleep in comparison to each other. In terms of firmness, this mattress is a bit on the firmer and of the spectrum. If you are looking for a mattress such as the Leesa but want a little more support and less motion transfer, this is it!

Live and Sleep is a great company that was started by mattress industry veterans who have years of expertise in memory foam beds. Their knowledge and skills really show through in this mattress.

Ordering Your Live and SLeep Mattress

There’s nothing special and nothing complicated about the ordering process. You can expect your mattress to arrive about a week after placing your order. You get tracking info just like all the other companies and it’s very seamless.

Unboxing the Live and Sleep

Live and Sleep

The Live and Sleep mattress comes in a nondescript box which is fine because I don’t intend to sleep in or on the box. Having a fancy box is a nice touch but it comes at a cost.

When I opened the mattress I discovered a free pillow inside. It seems to be made of the same density foam as the top layer of the mattress which gives you a consistent feel across your whole body. This isn’t a very thick pillow so if you have broad shoulders you may need a couple pillows.

My Live and Sleep Findings

The Live and Sleep mattress has minimal motion transfer. A trade-off of course is that it lacks some bounce. If you have a restless spouse, this mattress should be seriously considered.

Here’s a video illustrating motion transfer.

This mattress has a good amount of sink to it which makes it ideal for side sleeping but also back sleeping as it contours to your lower back and helps relieve pressure.

Here’s me squishing the inside of the mattress. Notice that the top a little slow to recover but is fast by memory foam standards. The base layer is a typical one of the many memory foam mattresses I reviewed, nothing remarkable about it. What makes this mattress special though is that you won’t feel any pressure points and still get proper spinal alignment.

My Live and Sleep Luxury Mattress Recommendation

The Live and Sleep mattress is superior to others in terms of contouring and pressure relief. This mattress is firmer than a Leesa mattress but softer than the Eve mattress. That makes it a good  choice for any type of sleeper, stomach, back or side, although I think this would be an ideal mattress for a back or side sleeper that doesn’t want much motion transfer.

Like Leesa, YogaBed and others, Live and Sleep has an excellent 100-day risk free trial period.  They ask that you try the bed out for at least 50 days in your house before you return it. If you have never slept on a foam bed, it can take about that long to get acclimated to it and fully appreciate its benefits.

Live and Sleep also gives back by donating part of every purchase to the National Alliance to End Homelessness. So not only can you rest easy but you can feel good about contributing to a good cause. A very noble gesture by a great company. I had a chance to talk with one of the owners and they are very genuine, down to earth people who have been in the mattress industry a while and want to change things for the better.

Live and Sleep is a brand that has been around since the start of the online mattress boom and I expect them to be around for many more years.
