Liquid Facelift Is A Non Surgical Process Used For A Facelift

by Reta A Amanueal blogger writer

Liquid facelift can last for long depending on the dermal filling used for the treatment.

A liquid facelift is a technique in which the advanced dermal fillers are used by injecting it in few areas of the face. It is used to lift and contour the facial feature by the non-surgical method. By injecting the injections in various areas of the face it helps to fill in lines and wrinkles, plump up certain areas that are thinned out, and then the facial resurfacing is followed by the liquid facelift. Liquid facelift in Houston is done by the expert and skilled physicians. This is also known as lunch hour facelift.

The physicians use dermal fillers like Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm ultra plus, Radiesse, Artefill and Sculptra to restore the missing volume in some specific areas on the face. Among all this the commonly used dermal fillers are Juvederm and Restylane which are HA (Hyaluronic acid) fillers that last for 6 to 12 months. The other fillers will last longer but can’t be injected into all the areas in the face as they are comparatively hard and rigid fillers.

The fillers are typically injected in the areas of line and wrinkles as well as in the areas which need to be filled and plumped up. Among the wrinkles include

·        The vertical lines that are seen in between the eyebrows.

·        The marionette lines that go from the edge of the mouth to the edge of the chin.

·        The nasolabial folds around the mouth.

The areas that need to be filled and pumped up are

·        The cheeks

·        The lips

·        The nasojugal groove

·        The bridge or the tip of the nose.

After going through the dermal filling the patient has to undergo facial resurfacing procedures which are usually a chemical peel, laser peel or IPL treatment. Few patients need local anesthesia before the injections are placed in the facial area and few of them benefit by the medicines taken orally.

As this process is done in an office setting so patients prefer to do this at the end of the workday because after the treatment they apply ice to help reduce the swelling and the bruises. This process works as an anti ageing solution.

In this process, the skin can’t be tightened enough. If compared to this process fat grafting is a much effective process to even up the lines and wrinkles on the face along with filling in and plumping up the flatter areas. But the problem with fat grafting is that it is actually done in an operating room setting.

The longevity of the liquid facelift depends on the dermal fillers that have been used in the procedure. This is the best procedure for those who have very little of filling to do and wants the process to be completed faster.

Moreover, before taking this treatment it is best if one consults with the physicians to confirm whether the treatment will be effective enough or not. It is advisable that the patient should check the dermis whether they are FDA approved or not. And also, one should check whether the physician is a highly experienced and skilled in this treatment or not.
