Heart attacks are one of the leading causes of death all over the world. There are plenty of reasons for a heart attack. Hence, it is essential to take preventive measures. Fortunately, experts say it is possible to reduce the chances of a heart attack by making the following changes:

•Keep Blood Pressure Under Control

High blood pressure is one of the major contributors to heart diseases. In order to keep the blood pressure under check, the best hospitals in Hyderabad and other cities recommend checking the blood pressure from time to time. In the case of adults or high-pressure patients, checking the blood pressure quite frequently is recommended. Take the necessary steps to make significant changes in your lifestyle and get the blood pressure under control.

•Avoid Too Much Cholesterol And Triglyceride

Cholesterol increases the chances of a heart attack by clogging the arteries delivering blood to the rest of the body and raising the risk of coronary artery disease. This eventually leads to a heart attack. Changing your diet and medicines (if required) can help in bringing down the cholesterol level. Other types of fat in blood like triglyceride raise the risk of coronary artery disease as well. In case of the condition of the heart is very bad, the heart transplant in India is always an option.

•Maintain A Healthy Weight

Being overweight not only affects your day-to-day activities but also increases the risk of heart disease as well. Obesity is associated with diseases like high blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels, high blood pressure, and diabetes, and hence, the chances of a heart attack are so high. Controlling your weight can significantly reduce the chances of a heart attack. Exercising regularly and ensuring a proper diet always help.

•Do Regular Exercise

Exercise has many benefits, including strengthening your heart and improving your circulation. It can also help you maintain a healthy weight and lower cholesterol and blood pressure. All of these can lower your risk of heart disease.

•Limit Alcohol Intake

Drinking does not affect your health only when consumed in smaller quantities. Drinking too much alcohol raises blood pressure and adds extra calories. This increases the risk of weight gain. Both high blood pressure and weight gain are a cause of heart disease.

•Avoid Smoking

Smoking raises blood pressure and increases the risk of a heart attack or stroke. Smokers with a heart condition are always advised to quit smoking before it reaches a fatal stage. If you haven’t started smoking yet, don’t!
