Firstly, talking about the processors, the Lenovo Yoga Book C930 comes with the Y series of 7th Gen Intel Core i5-7Y54 processor. To give you a perspective it is just above the Intel Core i3-5005 U performance-wise. In terms of usage, you can do various day yo day tasks like browsing, listening to songs, reading e-books, word processing with ease. For a little bit of graphics-intensive tasks, you get the Intel Integrated GPU the Intel HD Graphic 615.
The Resolution of the primary display is
2560 x 1600 Quad HD display with the screen size of 10.8 inches. Furthermore,
the primary display is a touchscreen and has a really good colour representation
and the viewing angles are also great thanks to its IPS display. Additionally,
the pixel density is 279.53 PPI. Since it is a convertible you can use it by
folding it in almost any angle.
Secondly, you get 256 GB SSD from which
only 196 GB is usable as a storage option. Furthermore, the Lenovo Yoga Book
C930 comes with 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM which is a little outdated compared to the
current generation of DDR4 RAM's. Considering that it is a convertible it is
pretty lightweight, weighing nearly 800 grams.
Thirdly, talking about the Connectivity
options you get two USB 3.0 Type C ports. Considering its form factor it's not
a surprise that it lacks HDMI port and Ethernet LAN port. It also misses the
good old 3.5mm audio jack. To counter all these missing ports it comes with
Wi-Fi support for 802.11ac and Bluetooth supports for version 4.2. There is
also a variant that comes with a SIM card tray and supports LTE bands for 4G
internet connection.
Subsequently, in the operating system, you
don't get the option to choose from android and windows like it was with the
2016 model. In the Lenovo Yoga Book C930, you get only Windows 10. Moreover,
the Yoga Book comes with the fingerprint reader, 2 MP camera for video
conferencing and two Dolby Atmos Audio supported speakers. There is also a
feature known as ‘Knock Knock’ where knocking twice on the device when it’s
folded makes it unfold. Furthermore, in Battery Life, you get 8.6 hours of the
screen on time in regular mode and a massive 13 hours when using only the
secondary display. This is due to the fact that it has a 36 Watt-hour battery.
In terms of Keyboard, the yoga book doesn’t
have a physical keyboard its secondary display works as the keyboard. It gives
the user haptic feedback and smooth animation while typing. This secondary
display can also be used as a sketch pad. This secondary display is made from
the technology called the E-ink display. It is the same technology that Amazon
uses in its kindle line up.
From the outside, the Yoga book looks very
premium and feels like an actual notebook which is mainly because of its 9.9 mm
thickness. But from the inside its massive bezels make it look outdated.
In conclusion, the Lenovo Yoga Book C930
has a great design and the secondary display, but we would suggest that you
should not buy this. This is especially because of the fact that it is priced
at a whooping price of 1,49,990 INR. Which is very high compared to other
alternatives like iPad Pro or Microsoft Surface Go. You can find the best laptops in this price range.
