Man, Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) just can't stop himself from flirting with Emma (Jennifer Morrison), can he? In this sneak peek of Once Upon a Time Season 2, Episode 12: “In the Name of the Brother,” — she wants to know where Cora (Barbara Hershey) is, and she's not above causing a...

From the inventive minds of Lost executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis comes a bold new imagining of the world, where fairy tales and the modern-day are about to collide. And they all lived happily ever after - or so everyone was led to believe. Emma Swan knows how to take care of herself. She's a 28-year-old bail bonds collector who's been on her own ever since she was abandoned as a baby. But when the son she gave up years ago finds her, everything starts to change. Henry is now 10 years old and in desperate need of Emma's help. He believes that Emma actually comes from an alternate world and is Snow White and Prince Charming's missing daughter.

Dr. Whale is tasked with mending Hook’s wounds and performing surgery on the stranger whose car crashed upon entering Storybrooke.

According to his book of fairytales, they sent her away to protect her from the Evil Queen's curse, which trapped the fairytale world forever, frozen in time, and brought them into our modern world. Of course Emma doesn't believe a word, but when she brings Henry back to Storybrooke, she finds herself drawn to this unusual boy and his strange New England town. Concerned for Henry, she decides to stay for a while, but she soon suspects that Storybrooke is more than it seems. It's a place where magic has been forgotten, but is still powerfully close... where fairytale characters are alive, even though they don't remember who they once were. Emma will have to accept her destiny and fight for everything that once was.

With major new big bads in town, the drama is gearing up big time on Once Upon a Time Season 2, so we couldn't wait to see what Episode 11: “The Outsider” had in store. Did it live up to our hopes? Read on for Wetpaint Entertainment's review of the episode, and then rate it yourself.

The episode started off strong, with Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) discovering he can leave town and Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) attacking Belle (Emilie de Ravin), and it kept up the excitement from there.
Unfortunately for Belle, Hook found her. We say "for Belle," because it was very fortunate for the audience — their showdown was tense, dramatic, and just a little bit hot, and it only got better once Rumple showed up. It took all of Belle's begging powers to stop Rumple from straight-up killing Hook, and we were on the edge of our seats every second.
In Charming family news, Henry (Jared Gilmore) struggled with thinking his adoptive mom is a murderer until Archie came back, while David/Charming (Josh Dallas) and Mary Margaret/Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) went house hunting.
Meanwhile, Leroy/Grumpy (Lee Arenberg), the dwarves, and some of the other townsfolks started to worry about what will happen if they're discovered by the outside world — a convenient thing to bring up, since a stranger crashed into town at the end of the episode.
The flashback — which saw Belle and Mulan (Jamie Chung) teaming up to hunt down an evil (and iffley CGI-ed) beast who turned out to be Prince Philip (Julian Morris) — was also quite fun. It was nice to see Belle use her kickbutt brains and compassion to save the day.
And, of course, it all came down to a shocking final minute: Hook shot Belle, sending her over the line, causing her to lose her memory. But before Rumple could destroy Hook, a car careened into town, running into the pirate and crashing.

Meanwhile, as Mr. Gold tries to reunite with a despondent Belle, Cora attempts to reunite with daughter Regina; and in the land that was, Victor desperately wants to prove to his disapproving father that he can, indeed, bring back the dead.
The parallel stories this week chart the process by which Belle discovers her inner fortitude, both in Storybrooke, and in the flashbacks to the Fairy Tale Land, which answer a number of question I don’t think anyone was really asking, such as how Regina (Lana Parrilla) ended up putting Belle away in the tower.
She allegedly throws herself off of (in one of the Evil Queen’s lies to Rumpelstiltskin, allowing him to think she committed suicide), or how Mulan (Jamie Chung) met Prince Phillip (Julian Morris). But I appreciate the attention to detail in the show’s worldbuilding and chronology, even if the individual story surrounding it isn’t that compelling.
