eligibility and points for the New Zealand Skill Migrant Visa System.
Beginning the next month, New Zealand will reopen
two immigration channels: the Parent

The most common visa route for immigrants and their
families to live in New Zealand is through the Skilled Migrant Category.
The Skilled Migrant
Category resident visa permits applicants to bring their partner and
dependent children under the age of 24 as well as live, work, and study in New
Zealand for an extended period of time.
The Skilled Migrant Category seeks to draw qualified
immigrants who have a track record of boosting New Zealand's economy.

Expression of interest
You must first submit an Expression of Interest
(EOI), either electronically or on paper, in order to be considered for a Skilled
Migrant Category Resident Visa.
Immigration authorities will periodically choose
candidates from applications after you submit you’re EOI and ask applicants to
apply for the visa. Depending on how many points they give you, they'll decide
whether or not to ask you to apply.
The Points System
The data will be used by Immigration New
Zealand to evaluate your eligibility using a points system. They are
only taking into account EOIs from
candidates who have at least 180 points (or 160 points for their selection on
November 9, 2022). The details you include in your EOI will determine how many
points you receive.
1) If
you have a job or job offer in New Zealand that calls for specialized,
technical, or managerial knowledge, you can claim 50–60 points for skilled
employment.
2) A
minimum of two years of work experience in the same industry as your skilled
employment is also worth points.
3) A range of trade certifications, diplomas,
bachelor's degrees, and post-graduate credentials are eligible for 40–60
points. Additionally, qualifying can get you extra points.
4) The minimum and maximum age points are 5 and
30, respectively. The points increase with decreasing age.
5) If a member of your immediate family resides
in New Zealand or holds New Zealand citizenship, you can receive 10 points.
