Launch x431 Tool
by Lora Smith cochecar Seeking to find out if anyone has experience with changing the serial number of their Launch x431 Tool?I've managed to stuff the pairing on mine between the main unit and the obdchina.es by updating the base units data + display with a version not meant for it, 'the straw which broke the camels back' as it was happened when i 'without doing enough research' attempted to upgrade the units Smartbox by using a Smart16 upgrade, well i found out the hard way that the Smart16 and Smartbox's are two different units....as the software upgrade buggered up the pairing as mentioned above.
All the advise i have managed to find on the Russian sites seem to advice that the best course to take is to reprogram the w77L058a with a different SN and then use one of the updated softwares available on the web e.g. sinodownloads.com/down/download/X431/
Could anyone advice if the code on the w77 differs between the different model x431 smartboxes? as i've reprogrammed the units chip, but the main unit still wont play nice with the bluetooth obdchina.es
Any pointers will be appreciated.
