working within the world of music since 1971.
Arnie Hoffman was a member of the
Catch, a Rising Star comedy club in New York in the '80s. It was an excellent
reason to travel to New York, and he did exactly that. Arnie was a fan of
Gilbert Gottlieb, Richard Belzer, and Paul Shaeffer until the wee hours.
At the time, he was a distributor of the major labels and
sold their cassettes via trucks that traveled from coast to coast. However,
Arnie wanted to be a part of the new comedy industry, so he decided to sell his
previous business and began recording comedians of the best laughs in 1987 and
then releasing the tapes and then CDs. There was no other company that thought

In the days before they went on the Blue-Collar Tour, before
Jeff Foxworthy and Ron White were household names, Laughing Hyena recorded
them, which put them in the limelight and helped them climb to fame. Foxworthy
has sold over 4 million records as of the time of this count. A record label
that was independent and outselling the other major record labels like Warner
Brothers and Sony was previously unheard of. Arnie was invited to speak as the
keynote speaker for the National Academy of Record Merchandisers and was
greeted with applause. Arnie is still an avid Grammy fan.
The label is trusted by many because they trust it to deliver

the reason to visit New York, and Arnie did precisely the same thing.
He enjoyed listening to artists like Richard Belzer, Gilbert
Gottfried, and Paul Shaeffer until the sun was up. At the time, he was a
distributor for major labels and was selling their cassettes through the
coast-to-coast fleet of trucks. However, Arnie wanted to be a part of the new
comedy industry, so he decided to sell his previous company and began recording
comedians. There was no other business in the nation that did the same thing.
One of the comedians who he released included Jeff Foxworthy,
who became the most popular comedy record in the recording industry's history.
It was a massive surprise to the industry that a brand new label was able to
surpass the previous comedy releases from Warner Brothers, Sony, and the other
major record companies. Arnie was invited to speak as the keynote speaker
during the National Academy of Record Merchandisers and was greeted with
applause. He continues to be an active Grammy fan.
