The Industrial Revolution of 18th to 19th century brought forth many technological changes and revitalization of the dying and stagnant industries to the forefront. But it also brought forth many other challenges such as shortage of labours. To compensate this many families migrated to Industrial Districts to work and make a living for themselves. The children of these families were also forced to work as the cost of living was very high, and education was not considered important at that time. These same labours were the forerunners of advancement and the entire Industrial operations relied on their shoulders, but that did not stop their exploitation at the hands of other industrialists and other rich people.
