CAT 2018 Selection procedure - The selection procedure for CAT 2018 will commence from the second week of January 2019. CAT 2018 is scheduled on 25^th November 2018. The national entrance examination opens the gateway for the number of management seekers. First the candidates have to appear for the written exam. The candidates which are shortlisted by IIM after result will be called for the further rounds of selection procedure. The further rounds of selection procedure include the written ability test, the group discussion and the personal Interview. CAT 2018 Selection procedure- Important dates

The official dates are not yet released by the conducting body; the following table shows you all the tentative dates. The candidates must be familiar with the important dates and events. It will help them to study and prepare accordingly.

Before the selection procedure, the candidates have to appear for the national level entrance examination. The CAT 2018 Result is likely to be announced in the second week of January 2019. The candidates download the CAT 2018 Result from the official website of the conducting body.

How to download the CAT 2018 Result and score card?

- The candidates have to visit the official website of the conducting.

- Click on the Tab “Download the scorecard”.

- They have to enter the login credentials acquired at the time of registration.

- The result will be shown in the PDF format. The candidates are advised to keep safe a copy of the CAT 2018 Result cum score card until the admission procedure gets over.

CAT 2018 selection procedure

1. Written ability test

After the result declaration, the candidates have to appear for the final hurdle in their path of securing a seat in one of the IIM. The first stage in the selection procedure is the written ability test. The candidates have to appear for a small test.

2. Group discussion

The next stage in the CAT 2018 Selection procedure is the group discussion. The candidates have to speak on a random topic given by the Interviewer. It depends on the interviewer when to stop the group discussion. Randomly 10 students will be taken in the group discussion and the candidates will be selected on the basis of speaking skills.

3. Personal Interview

The last hurdle that a candidate has to cross is the personal Interview. The candidate will be selected on the basis of performance in the written examination, academic qualification and passion for MBA.

Final selection of the candidates

After testing the aspirants on various parameters, the final list of selected candidates will be generated by IIM, the candidates can get admission in the desired Institute.
